1. Love the colour
2. Okay, what are the various parts from? The body might be a reshaped Yamaha, but the sculpting looks wrong.
3. I don't know what worn Badass V bridges go for? (The saddles are worn, according to the eBay listing, which I should have posted last night. Oops.)
4. That is tempting. It's up on eBay as well, BTW. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GB-Rumour-Goodfellow-style-custom-5-string-bass-project-with-Badass-V-bridge/361249245496?hash=item541c220938
5. Not really my thing (I'm not very metal at all, and I don't like the colour), but the headstock is elegant and the whole thing looks well done.
6. Lovely. Understated, but really classy. And, as usual, way out of my reach and competence. Bah, humbug
7. General election?
8.
It's a very complicated area! I hope I didn't come across as a know-it-all Not my intention at all
Absolutely not
9.
I've not read the link Dad posted but I suspect it's bang on the money. Anyway, this bit of what you said caught my attention: Copyright is automatic. As soon as you create something original (photograph, painting, song) you own the copyright to it. I believe the tricky part comes with trying to prove that you own that copyright if contested. Back to the topic though, I'd have thought that yes, the BBC would indeed need to seek permission before using someone's original work. I'd look into it if I were him as there may be some compensation due perhaps? Worth reading up on at least just in case!
Okay, thank you. I stand corrected.
10.
Might be more complex than that, otherwise YouTube would own the rights to most of the music in the world.
That's why I said "original thing", by which I meant stuff posted without prior copyright. Edit: Having read (some of) the link provided by Dad3353 (thanks ), it's obvious I was wrong in detail and more or less correct in fact. They can distribute anything of yours you put there as they please, but they are not liable for it.
11. I'm pretty sure that if you post some original thing on YouTube, YouTube owns the rights to it.
12. Hobby player. Standard: awful.
13. Original owner learned to play while obese, then lost lots of weight but couldn't adapt their style?
14. Tasty!
15. Not very. When I was in a band we used to practise without microphone quite a lot. Kept us from volume wars.
16. I'd go with ergonomics, personally. I do like that stealthy scratchplate
17. The only really good-looking Fender, IMO. :ducks and covers:
18. The pup is a bit weedy, which I always find surprising. Sound-wise it's a P-bass with a bit more twang and authority, at least to my ear. It weighs a lot, BTW.
19. This http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vox-Standard-bass-3504-in-great-condition-complete-with-original-Vox-bag-/181692708861?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4dbab7fd is probably £50 overpriced, but if you like big chunky necks these are fine. (I don't, and mine is not for sale!)
20. If you can find a Peavey Foundation, they seem to go for about £170. Lovely lovely basses.
