1. Zappa.
2. My aunt used to play one in chapel services in Wales.
3. Junky laptop speakers. Probably not doing you justice, really.
4.
Peavey Grind 6ers are ace as well, and cheap as chips used.
There was one up on eBay last week, might still be there. Edit: looks like it's gone. I did find this though... if it's anything like its 4-string cousins, it'll be a monster. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4af0d65c34 There are a couple of Grind sixes up for £319.
5. Quite Westone Quantum-ish in general vibe, then. Nice
6. Tidy I like the hard case, as well.
7. That looks lovely. Good luck with your sale
8. Good for you for doing it, and for putting it out there. It's way above my standard, for sure. I find it a bit cluttered to listen to, personally, but that may be more to do with choice of genre. Hope this helps
9. I liked them both. 'Wake Up And Dream': the short section from about 1:45 to 2:00 seems a little shapeless... ? I think maybe I'd drop an instrument out there? 'Live in a sunny day' is the better of the two, to my ear. I like the 'loose', relaxed feel. Again the transition between sections is a bit indistinct in places.
10.
Wow. Someone has a 'roo loose in the top paddy.
Suddenly, the world is full of Australians... they're everywhere! :hides behind bush, loads shotgun: Edit for typo - or was it?!!
11. I don't listen to much at home; Radio 3 late at night, and stuff I'm allegedly trying to learn. I don't know why not; when I was 20 I couldn't turn it off. I'm beginning to feel that I've stopped hearing it, and I think that's mostly because I'm trying to play; my ear is different now.
12. Never heard of basses with this branding, but apparently they were made at Kawai. I wouldn't know. Sadly, the thing has a deeply naff name... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schaller-Rockoon-Bass-Japan-Vintage-/281803652262?hash=item419cce7ca6
13. £229 is over the odds, I reckon. £150's as much as I'd expect one to fetch.
14. It does look Peavey-ish, but probably not that recent? If I was anywhere near Leicester I'd go and have a look... anyone anywhere near it?
15. Hideous, IMO.
16. Too many strings...
17. A mystery to me. (Apart from the neck dive, which anyone who's ever played a bass will instantly predict...) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Selmer-Electric-Bass-Jazz-Guitar-/141775534172?hash=item21027af85c
18. Huge bargain. Someone nab it, quick...
19. I think this Ibanez Silver Cadet must be Japanese-made. I've not run across one before: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1ea427d21b
20. I'd reply, I hope. I won't say I definitely have always done so, but I do try.
21. I love the look of it, but I''d never play it.
22.
EDIT: Beatbass, 1975 Jazz Bass, and 4 string fretless acoustic all sold out. Anyone get something this time round?
Too skint
23. JB-75s and Beatbasses now up...
