1.
Wow. Someone has a 'roo loose in the top paddy.
Suddenly, the world is full of Australians... they're everywhere! :hides behind bush, loads shotgun: Edit for typo - or was it?!!
2. I don't listen to much at home; Radio 3 late at night, and stuff I'm allegedly trying to learn. I don't know why not; when I was 20 I couldn't turn it off. I'm beginning to feel that I've stopped hearing it, and I think that's mostly because I'm trying to play; my ear is different now.
3. Never heard of basses with this branding, but apparently they were made at Kawai. I wouldn't know. Sadly, the thing has a deeply naff name... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schaller-Rockoon-Bass-Japan-Vintage-/281803652262?hash=item419cce7ca6
4. £229 is over the odds, I reckon. £150's as much as I'd expect one to fetch.
5. It does look Peavey-ish, but probably not that recent? If I was anywhere near Leicester I'd go and have a look... anyone anywhere near it?
6. Hideous, IMO.
7. Too many strings...
8. A mystery to me. (Apart from the neck dive, which anyone who's ever played a bass will instantly predict...) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Selmer-Electric-Bass-Jazz-Guitar-/141775534172?hash=item21027af85c
9. Huge bargain. Someone nab it, quick...
10. I think this Ibanez Silver Cadet must be Japanese-made. I've not run across one before: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1ea427d21b
11. I'd reply, I hope. I won't say I definitely have always done so, but I do try.
12. I love the look of it, but I''d never play it.
13.
EDIT: Beatbass, 1975 Jazz Bass, and 4 string fretless acoustic all sold out. Anyone get something this time round?
Too skint
14. JB-75s and Beatbasses now up...
15. Rob bought some pickups from me. No issues, good deal, I'd be pleased to deal with him again.
16. I sold Dunc some strings. He's been a gentleman throughout and I'd be pleased to deal with him again.
17.
I wonder if a Fender neck could be persuaded to fit? I'd buy a green Talman tomorrow if I thought the spare maple fingerboard Squire neck I have lying around would go on it.
Indeed. Could we persuade the OP to do some measuring, please?
18.
They had two big hits in Australia, this one and Hungry Town. Both great songs, even if they were quite similar to each other.
I bought the album.
19.
£720 for a Westone Rail? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1a05eb3e2f
Seller is (probably self-)deluded. I love Rails, but really...
20.
Nellie The Elephant by that band, whose name I've forgotten.
Toy Dolls. Their reading of Blue Suede Shoes is a minor epic, and its timing is glorious
