If its a switch with a mono jack plug on the end it can be one of two sorts, latching or momentary, digital stuff generally wants momentary. Latching means the switch stays in one place when switched, in either on or off, momentary is just a prod that tells when its plugged into to change state. Gernerally if you plug a latching switch into something that wants a momentary, you have to hit the button twice to make it work. See if your head specs mention which sort it is.

Sure I commented in another feedback thread long since buried, but have traded a fair few odds and ends back and forth since he introduced me to Basschat. Should definitely have a bassbash of some sort again soon.

Higher action is better for sound, you can hit harder, so you get more range of sounds, without rattle, but it will tire your fingers. High action is awesome, low is for guitards. I think people obsess over getting the action low far too much on basses, no-one wants you playing diddly 64th notes. Intonation isn't a huge deal if you aren't chording or playing dead high, and its easy to do with a tuner. What does make a difference is if the bit the string sits on can wiggle about, its going to do you no favours.

Macke it in such a way everthing is on the pickguard, then all you need is a spade connector on the earth to bridge, over even cunning foilwork will do it, then just swap the whole thing.

i recently tricked out a p bass with dimarzio model 1 at the neck and the bridge, sounds totally awesome. Someone had one of those same Fender mudbuckers in the for sale section, maybe double up.

Are they the Blueline speakers or the Celestions? Another one in my cab has started to rattle (suspect its the damp practice space killing them) so might be best if you sell them and buy new drivers, and work from there.

Old BC richs are nice, new ones have gone a bit budget. You can score an old NJ series for cheap if its pointy, due to limited market, I got a battered Warlock for £60. Loads of legendary thrashers played BC basses. Edit, I used a NJ Mockingbird for recording, sounds beasty.

In Bristol you have Jesse James and the Bailey Brother's, I've spoken to Jesse and he is a bit oldschool, which is great for amp like yours but I'm madly dubious on his ideas about speakers. The Baileys are great and cheap, but they prioritise gigging musiciansso if you don't have a deadline to have it working by, they will take forever.

I just though, are the two 15s in a straight line like a mesa, or staggered like a Hartke?

Strip all the carpet off and paint it with that stuff for lining truck beds.
