1. Brian is an excellent person to deal with. I bought some pedals from him, arrived in great time and in really good condition. Definitely recommended.
2. Really easy transaction and good comms with Pearce. Thanks!

Klon KTR

Proper Klon...doable in a twisted way...proper '59 burst...sell the second house to pay for it (I should ideally get a first house to begin with). Just when I thought I had my bass GAS under control after 'much' struggle, this geetar thing decides to pop up and play havoc...why oh why

Klon KTR

Thanks Dad3353 for the recommendation, was just listening to some demo vids and its quite interesting. So many pedals from so many different manufacturers that I don't know and learning about. I must say though I have this fixation on a Klon, maybe I'm just too hit over the head by the hype and stuff. To see the original Centaur's going for over £1500 is just amazing (but thats a different ball game). @paul_h my budget also does not allow for anything this pricey, but the birthday is coming up, and well.....yeah You encouraging me is not helping, lol. The way I'm 'rationalising' it in my head also is that, from what I can tell, KTR's on the bay have prices around £200+ (if they get that I don't know, not seen any currently on UK ebay thus far). So unless things change, if I want to sell it (which I doubt I would) it won't be that bad. One can reason themself into buying anything, can't they... I ain't no guitarist, but if this is what they go through chasing 'tone', then I should just stop now.

Klon KTR

So, quick backstory that will make this post (and me) sound utterly ridiculous, but hey ho. I started messing with guitar again at the end of last year because after many many moons, I have this itch that I really want to learn to play blues. I had _no interest_ in guitar gear, don't have any except a cheap squier strat, play through a small solid state bass modeling amp, did not want to spend money, did not see the point of effects and use none. Then within the last week and a half, I've gone from that, to the point where I feel I 'need' a Klon KTR (for low gain overdrive). Putting aside my absurd situation for the moment (and yes I should get a valve amp), what is the real concensus on the KTR? I've looked/listened at vid after vid about the Soul Food, JRAD Archer, Tumnus etc. etc. etc. Is the price justified (about £250+) for the KTR...even if not, is it just worth getting it, well, because its a Klon KTR and not a klone (yes, I'm one of those type of people). Don't ridicule me too much...
7. Saw the pictures in your other thread, beautiful looking thing.
8. Bought a pedal off of Lee. Great comms, packaging and quick delivery, would gladly buy from Lee again!
9. I could not make the London gig cause I was already going to see Gary Clark. So, tripped up to Brighton to see the last UK performance Tuesday. Always a thrill for me to see him live. Some stuff seemed similar when he was in Camden last, but I love seeing him play.
10. Got a great little pedal from Chris. Nice comms and sent quickly. Would defo do business again.
11. I bought a pedal off of Paul. So easy to do business with, really quick delivery and wonderful pedal. What more can I say...buy from Paul!
12. Cory Henry a few weeks ago (just awesome) at Union Chapel, and Coldplay tonight at Wembley. Its amazing the difference when you think about it...I mean from Cory who has a couple grammys to his name playing in a very beautiful setting to a few hundred people, to Coldplay (also multi-grammy winning) playing in Wembley in an amazing and playful setup to 70,000 people.
13. Would be lovely if I had the space and money for this. I'm starting to get partial to these older Japanese basses.

15. Wait, what happened there...did I miss something...
16. Its about time someone picked this up! Despite already having a JD Thumb, I would still come to watch this longingly.
17.
My god, i cant unhear it, please help.... https://m.youtube.co...e&v=AcibYABRm9E
That. was. just. awesome...
18. Saw one of these on Denmark St. this afternoon. I was a bit unsure about it before today, but must admit after seeing it in the flesh it really does look like a nice bit of kit, sturdy and good size. GLWTS.
19. I would not lie that a big part of it is the nostalgia thing for me. The concert was not the best I've ever been to, but it was great fun nonetheless, especially when they played the older stuff. You know everybody feels the same way when all you can hear is the crowd singing the lyrics over the lead singer, ha.
20. Lovely colour 'and' a matching headstock...oh yeah
21. So for some unknown reason I thought about this band yesterday morning, and I mean like 2am or something. Had not listened to them in a while, did not see any advertising so no subliminal messages (I don't think?), just decided to check if they're coming London anytime. I then realise they are playing that night at O2 Brixton! That is the weirdest thing. I manage to get a ticket off of seatwave at the same price they sold for (getmein had them like twice the price). OK it was a tenner more for fees and 'ahem' eticket handling (?...what the...who handles it, the computer you need to pay extra?). Anyways, got there literally 5 minutes before they start their set. I Just reached back home. Awesome to see a band you listen to so much growing up, that first Blue album was one of the first cds I ever owned, such memories. Anyways, hope you guys get to see those bands that meant something to you at some point in time.
22. That's a tempting offer if I was looking for an SG. As the last person said, GLWTS.
