1.
How many miles to the gallon does it get?
Depends on your amp I think!
  2. The castors are good enough to take you up the motorway on this!
  3. Had very little use from New - excellent tuner etc £55 incuding delivery cheers http://photobucket.com/Petersontuner
  4. As the Title states. Really nice cab - have somehow ended up with two of these and both will now be for sale. This one has been used and is cosmetically a bit tatty in places. has had a name spray painted on the back and has been wired to be 4ohm only at some point in its life (doesnt affect use at all and is a fairly easy thing to restore to original wiring) Speakers are in good condition and it sounds brilliant at both low and high volumes. Weight wise is not too bad considering what is packed in their. for sale £150 collected Bristol - could maybe meet on M5 on outskirts of bristol if that helps. cheers http://photobucket.com/Mesa2x15
  5. Suprisingly (to me anyway) not too much interest in this so price reduced to £695. This is a real quality instrument for a good price, cheers

  8. Ha Ha ! Manos Hi - do you still have that HH ? that was a nice bass
  9. I purchased this off the forum a few years ago. It has had little use in this time but I just couldn’t bring myself to sell it. It really is a very well made bass that oozes quality. Action is low and the tone is really middy and growly. If I had to use one word to describe its sound I would in all seriousness say ‘Funky’. It has a few small knicks but nothing of any consequence and is overall in very good condition. Looking for a sale but will consider trades as long as you don’t take offence if I say no. Price [s]£750 [/s]Now £650 - including delivery. Will come in a gig bag but will be very well packed. Welcome to try it out. 12. This bass started out its life as a red Alder bodied Fretless stingray. I bought it as such a few years ago now from the forum. I decided to set about some mods as at the time as this was never going to be sold. So Got Martin Peterson at the bass gallery to intstall frets and put a new birdseye maple fretboard on. As you would expect the workmanship is faultless. I then refinished the bass in a white nitro finish. I stripped the bass back to natural, primered the wood and sprayed several coats of nitro white pain (sanding in between each coat) before sealing with a nitro white gloss. The finish will not quite stand up to a pro job as the paint ran in a few small places and there are some small indentations on the back ( buckle rash) that I did not sand out and fill properly but it is on the whole pretty good. All hard ware, pickup electrics are original , pickguard is not (didn’t come with original). The bass sounds as a Stingray should and has a really nice feel to it. If this were all original it would command decent money even in these hard times but I am aware that the mods do not add value (although cost me a fortune). So pricing is tricky but I feel that £600 is fair but comments are welcome on this. This will include delivery , the bass does not have a case but will be very well packed, You are welcome to try it out/inspect it. I am primarily looking for a sale but may consider trades if something catches my eye. Cheers http://s1133.photobucket.com/albums/m592/tel707tcd/Stingray/

    Sadowsky
It always intrigues me to see how passionate some people are about not liking Sadowsky basses, to the point that every discussion about Sadowsky on this thread ends up as a mud-slinging match between those that own/like them and those that consider them overpriced/overhyped/average sounding/generic sounding. Not that it isn't entertaining its just about the third time in last year it has happened. Perhaps if the price of Metros continue to rise, the debate will become even more heated!
I think its just a case of how people present their opinions that polarises debates such as this. Whenever someone posts stating as fact that xxx basses are all average and overpriced and not as good as yyy basses it is going to invoke strong reactions all round when as has been stated many times already its just one persons opinion, and there are much better ways of presenting ones opinions.
Thodrik in 'some people don't like certain basses' shocker! As for loudandclear, he's 'clearly' pissed as he seems to be unable to use grammar or even read what people are posting!
Simple mistake on my part - but oh my I do seem to have hit a nerve ! Still all good fun !
I've only heard one Sandberg in the flesh, but it had more of a woodier, individual sound to my ears.
If I bought a bass that sounded woolly I would take it back !

    Sadowsky
But then you must consider that everyone doesn't like the same things. I love Status Graphite basses, I always have and I consider them 'the best' at what they do. On the other hand, there are plenty of people who dislike headless basses, dislike the graphite sound, dislike the image etc etc. So what works for me doesn't work for everyone else. However, I've played plenty of high end jazz basses though typically they are not what I'm after. Looking at it objectively, Sadowsky basses have always struck me as average as far as jazz basses go. Surely a case of different vinegar strokes for different folks, as Roger has had order books filled out for his basses over 20 years now. But they've never really impressed me.
you cant really look at peoples opinions objectively can you. but it is good to see that you are now expressing your opinions as that. opinions fair enough they are not for you but as you said order book full for some time to come , in this thread alone far more positive than negative , I suspect you are in a very small minority with your opinion, doesnt make it any less valid just that people looking for opinions should consider the whole

    Sadowsky
Definitely not the opinion of many of the world's greatest bass and guitar players unfortunately. Will Lee, Mike Elizondo, Walter Becker, Dave Bronze, Marcus Miller, John Patitucci, Daryl Stuermer, Willie Weeks and that's just the tip of the iceberg really! As far as I'm aware (with the probable exception of Will Lee and Walter Becker) endorsements from Sadowsky don't really exist, which means that these very capable and longstanding pros are investing their money in a product that they like. Not liking a product is one thing, but I doubt anyone could argue that Sadowskys are an average product.
^^ well said - I have owned both a Sandberg - PM4 and currently own a Sadowsky Metro P+J. The Sandbergs are very nice basses, well put together quite a bit cheaper now than Sadowsky and I could understand them being chosen on this basis and someone being very happy with a Sandberg. For me however Sadowsky's are truly great all round basses basses that really come alive when gigged. The eq is very powerful the tone is a great mix of cutting through and holding down the low end. The quality of fit finish etc is exceptional and I would not be without mine. A lot of dosh - yes, but worth it yes - all imho of course!
  20. Maple with pearl blocks would be awesome in my opinion especially on the white one
  21. Got to be honest I like the look of that white one - is there a price on these yet?
