1. I bought this some time ago from here and again have hung on to it just because it sounds so great but I have only used it in my house and whilst I love it its time to sell. It has a really full clear valve sound whichever bass you put through it and I am sure will not disapoint. it is in generally pretty good condition but does have some surface scratches on top. Pricing again is tricky but I reckon £175 delivered is a good price - comments are welcome - this will include delivery - tryout viewing welcome - if paypal will be + fees. Many thanks
2.
HOW AND WHY IS THIS SO CHEAP!!??
I personally dont feel comfortable making a profit out of selling on the forum and thats how much I paid for it.
3. I bought this from new from a shop about three years ago. It has had very little use. I have managed to somehow ding the aluminium mesh grill on the back with two small indentations which dont affect anything, apart from that it is in 10/10 condition. The sound is incredible warm and punchy , will grind if required but will also do full fat and clean. It is very loud not too heavy and a beautifully made piece of eqiupment. Reluctant sale but I am just not using it and whilst I have held on to it because I want to, I now need to reluctantly sell. Pricing is tricky but I feel about £800 is fair - comments are very welcome on this. I can look into delivery but am reluctant, due to nauture of the beast, I would meet on the motorway near to bristol if this helps anyone interested and obviously straight collection is fine. pics below cheers
4. I bought this a while back off the forum here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=stingray+sabre I absolutely love it but too many basses and too little money forces sale of this and a few other things I would rather hold on to. I paid a ridiculous £500 and have had a set up and new set of elixirs on it so will sell for £550 delivered with gig bag. Viewing trying welcome as are comments cheers

8. Hi - is that a brass nut on the fretted neck ? thanks
9. Steve - whatever you are buying must be one hell of a bass to replace either of these two!
10. I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the tone I get from my Roland basscube RX - it really is a lovely sounding practice amp with effects for fun - I always think if you could get a 750watt version of this to gig with it would be a total winner
11.
Hey Terry, How are you? I have a 1966 Jazz Bass that I always pick up over everything I own..it's a curse. The gig I had that lent itself to a five string bass has now changed so I find myself playing my Fender basses. With the exeption of recording with the Copollo recently it's just not getting an outing, It's such a beautiful bass it deserves to be played so I would rather sell it in pristine condition. I ordered the bass from Jimmy last year at the Namm Show and he is such a nice guy, very passionate about construction and tone of his instruments. He really deserves the accolades his instruments are now receiving. Hope your well. Mick
Yes thank you Mick I am good hope you are well - I remember talking to you when you were about to go to Namm and thinking about the Alleva - beautiful bass - if it were a four I would be selling things right now - potential purchasers Mick is a top guy and this is a one of the best basses you can buy - buy with confidence ATB

24. I bought this off Ebay from Japan a few years ago and it has been my back up gigging bass for that time . It has actually been used very little by me although I have gigged with it a couple of times and it has always been great. It was bought from a reputable dealer as a late 70's Tokai - all original. It has a Jazz profile neck, sounds great - has a few nicks and small dings, one on the neck just below the first fret ( I have tried to photograph this ) but it is very smooth and not in a place that affects playing, there are also a couple of white patches (the rest of the body has aged to cream) where a transfer was on the bass at some point. All in all a great player and great sounding bass. Pricing is pretty difficult I find and i would welcome any input on this from those more in the know than me on this type of bass but I think about £275 plus delivery is pretty good??
