1. Yes understand - it is not necessarily something I would normally do but I think it is still actually undervalued at £235 , I reckon it would go for a lot more on ebay but would be lost to the forum then so here it is, as I said was not my intention but still a very very good deal. If it had Fender on the headstock would be £450+. Sure you cant be tempted?
2. Bought this recently but things have changed a bit so whilst it wasnt my intention it is now up for sale. All original 1983'ish Ibanez P/J not often found with the two pick ups Good honest sound bass structually it does have several cosmetic dings and scratches around the edges and a couple of long scratches on the back and some buckle rash. The neck is great with no dings to speak of bar a small chip on the lower edge. Open geared tuners. Skunk stripe. P and J pickups and vol/vol/tone controls. It is missing the neck plate you can see the light imprint of it, these come up on ebay, or you could leave it as is. This is all original, the neck pocket is stamped Ibanez. The white has gone a little creamy over the years. Plays fine and has no issues. Good high output from both pups. Bass is not heavy - I would estimate at 9lbs. Price , seldom do this and a bit cheeky I know but after consultation with previous seller £235.Will include delivery. Bass is worth every penny and a bargain at this price. 4. Any opinions from those with knowledge gratefully received!
5. I actually am not sure what it is worth to be honest in todays climate, any helpers?
6. No no refin on the neck at all , to be honest it has only left my house a few times in recent years.
7. Looking at selling my Precision so any advice/opinions from all fender experts would be greatly appreciated. I bought this a few years ago now off the forum. Pretty sure its a refin but obviously done some considerable time ago. It has also had a repair to the headstock which I have tried to photo as much as possible and actualy looks worse in the photos than in real life. This repair was again done some considerable time ago and has been stable for many years. The only other thing I know of is that one of the screws in the back of the machine heads is not oiginal. Currently strung with flatwounds the bass is not too heavy (just under 10lbs) sounds and feels like a really good 69 Precision. I know the market is pretty flat right now so dont really have an idea of value so would be very grateful for opinions from those with knowledge. Many thanks
8. Yep this bass is on its way to me shortly and kudos to Andy for his upstanding honour in this matter, it's people like him that make this such a great forum
9.
Seeing as this is now in the public domain I guess it's best you see this - no idea what it means for the likes of me - I'm curious to see how BGM now re-surfaces: http://www.mi-pro.co...y-formed/016347
So I assume from this People will lose subscriptions if they have them?
10. I can think of at least four I wish I could buy back!
11. Boxed, unused as new , solderless instalation The BTC Control features a bass and treble equalizer on a concentric (stacked) pot. It takes up very little space and will work with any pickup, active or passive. It comes complete with knobs (including 2 extra volume knobs). BTC Controls and Systems are the most widely used bass EQ Systems in the world. Approximately 12db of cut and boost are available for bass and treble and all controls are center detented to assure quick return to normal tone settings. A dual-dip switch is mounted to the PC Board that lets you program the high end frequency response four different ways so you can choose the sound that's right for you. These systems use the latest in surface mount technology, are extremely quiet, and require very little current from a 9 Volt battery. For sale £50 delivered cheers http://www.guitarandampshop.co.uk/acatalog/EMG-BTC_Bass_and_Treble_Circuit.html

13. By a quirk of fate (two different projects that never came off) I have two Nordstrand Jazz bass NJ4SV pick ups. These were bought seperately and the neck pick up is the straight NJ4SV, the bridge pick up is the NJ4SV R which is exactly the same pick up just with slightly raised A and D poles to cater for radiused fingerboards.I have checked and they are fine to use as a pair on either radiused or non radiused basses. They are split coil pick ups and retail at £200 for a pair as below http://www.bassdirec...nd_Pickups.html I woud prefer to sell them as a pair at £130 but will consider splitting at £70 each, but only if I can definetly sell both so if any interest in one , I will register interest and hold it till the other sells but will accept offers on both above this. Both of these are in new condition not been installed on any bass. Price includes delivery. Cheers
14. Brand New in box , never been installed. For sale £80 delivered cheers
15. I have come close to getting this done on one of my basses a few times - I had quotes from both Dave Wlson and John Shuker - in the region of £350 to £400 if I remember correctly (was a year or so ago now) both were happy to do it
