  1. Met Steve through the forum and have dealt with him on a number of occasions now buying or selling - he is a top guy and great to deal with has some lovely gear if you ever get to collect and will have the added pleasure of some good bass related chat!
  2. Just to agree here - I have met Steve through buying and selling various basses to him/from him - he is a top guy and this bass is a real killer
  3. This bass is a real player. I have owned several stingrays and this is a really good example. Pretty much perfect condition - no dings - I have gigged it about three times and rehearsed with it about 10 times. Sounds fantastic, comes with a musicman case. Looking for £675 + delivery. You may see one or two slightly cheaper than this (especially at the moment) but you wont see one in better condition at this price. Again welcome to view. cheers [attachment=1487:Picture_136.jpg] [attachment=1488:Picture_138.jpg] [attachment=1489:Picture_140.jpg] [attachment=1490:Picture_143.jpg] [attachment=1491:Picture_146.jpg] [attachment=1492:Picture_148.jpg] [attachment=1493:Picture_152.jpg]
  4. I have owned this for somewhere in the region of 4 years. I have never really taken to fretless and as such it has been played very little. In fact the only time I have played it is when I have decided I must sell it and that has usually resulted in me deciding to keep it for a while longer. Due to recent purchases the time has now come for me to be ruthless! It really is a beautiful bass both in feel and tone. It has the typical modulus clarity. It comes with the original modulus hard case - I cannot see any marks or dinks on it at all - it is lite - well balanced and as I said sounds great . The neck is perfectly straight. The action very low and it plays really well. It has bart pick ups and preamp. I am looking for £850 +delivery - no offers (I am pretty sure this is a good price) - no trades (have to cut down number of basses!) any genuine interest you are welcome to come try out. cheers [attachment=1476:Picture_011.jpg] [attachment=1478:Picture_017.jpg] [attachment=1479:Picture_018.jpg] [attachment=1480:Picture_039.jpg] [attachment=1481:Picture_025.jpg] [attachment=1482:Picture_026.jpg] [attachment=1483:Picture_030.jpg] [attachment=1484:Picture_032.jpg] [attachment=1485:Picture_034.jpg] [attachment=1486:Picture_037.jpg] [attachment=1477:Picture_015.jpg]
  5. I would take it anyday! fantastic
  6. Bump.... Going to ebay this fairly quickly so any interest? any offers?
  7. Sibob - I almost fell for that one! Odub - no worries - these things happen
  8. Sibob and Shockwave - thank you very much for the kind comments it is indeed a great bass - cant do trades unfortunately though needs to be a sale but thanks again
  9. I have owned this from new (about three months) it is in new condition having not left my house at all ( I still have receipts etc available) . I bought it and was so impressed by the Lakland quality, sound and feel that GAS got the better of me and three weeks later I bought a 44-94 which has meant that this has not got the airplay it really should. I would love to keep it but my bass 'stock' is at a peak at the moment and I have to be ruthless on this. It is the Skyline model - it oozes quality and tone and as I say is in new condition - It cost me about £975.00 from the states - It is on offer at £750 delivered - the skylines do not come with a hard case but it will be packed securley - I am based in Bristol - you are welcome to try if you are interested but this really is a lovely bass. PS the marking on the scratch plate near the G string is just the plastic coating lifting (which is still on the bass) the scratch plate is in perfect condition [attachment=1013:Picture_041.jpg] [attachment=1015:Picture_048.jpg][attachment=1016:Picture_049.jpg][attachment=10 7:Picture_055.jpg][attachment=1018:Picture_064.jpg]
  10. I own a GK 1001rb 1x15 combo and these really are good amps - I am pretty sure whoever buys this if you are happy with the price you will not be disapointed
  11. Yes I have had Johhny Kincade set up my bass/basses a couple of times he is not the cheapest (usually about £60) for set up fret clean stone wash etc but he is fantastic - a real craftsman- he will deal with anything guitar/bass related except electrics. well worth a try imho
  12. Glad thats turned up for you!! look forward to the review

    Donations

I dont know whether I have missed any posts on this but would it be a good idea to have more details on donations eg how much has been donated? how much is required? what skins cost etc what else may be required? just in the interest of being transparent and open about everything
  15. personally would not touch it

I dont think anyone would argue that things are watched and I think on the whole the mods do a good job in my opinion at this stage of the 'new' forum it wouldn't do any harm to explicitly state that negative comments are not really constructive in the long run and this hopefully helps shape the discussions that do take place in a positive way

I think that is a good idea...
  18. I bought a P-bass 57 reissue with American pick ups from Ishibashi - as Dood says they were great - I just emailed them with an enquiry - they replied quickly - directed me to a secure site to pay and the bass turned up about 5 days later - really pleased with it and the whole thing was simple and relatively cheap
  19. I have to say IMO white perloid would look very good on that bass....
  20. I have used thomaan to purchase numerous bass related items and they have always proved to be very good - quick delivery good products - would recommend them
