I bought these today. My plan is to hook the piezo to the jack then to a pre amp then stick the piezo on the bridge. I'm sure this won't work because I haven't thought of something, any ideas?
Darling Simply love the rug...Tell me its a Berber Twist
Absolute piece of nasty, cheapo crap. £500? Surely no-one would be retarded enough to pay that for this pile of arse. And it's not a f@cking Teisco - it's sh!tty Korean rubbish. J.
well heres my Ebay pileapants for this week, modded and not in the best of condition ,I paid to much ...BUT IT..Sings Like an Angel abeit a dirty nasty tart of one Will I ever learn -
Have you played this bass? Gibson basses are fragile and have a nasty habit of snapping at the head stock. I would only buy this bass if a luthier checks the repair. Also the E string is wound the wrong way around the tuning peg and the G string doesn't look as if it's tightened on the tuning peg. What's going on there?
Just a look at the join suggests its recent & no way 15 years old....I may be wrong, however if you feel this bass is for you £650 would be a fair price as this leaves enough in the pot to have a proper repair undertaken....
Hi all, Does anyone know what this guitar would be worth roughly? It is a 1967 Gibson EB-2D in perfect working order with its original hardcase. Approx 15 years ago the back of the headstock craked but it did not affect the verve of the wood and was professionally repaired. It has played fine ever since. Reason I ask is that I am thinking of buying it but not sure of its value. Would appreciate any input Thanks
I seen this on GT London....look at the glue thats last weeks glue not 15 years of age..the break still looks very clean.offer the geezer £600 tops....its nice but not that nice
Yours is the same bass as Tino's. When he got it, the silhouette of the Eros badge was clearly visible on the headstock. Anyway - Eros. First of all there's no connection to the Italian E-Ros brand (whatever the Ebay "experts" might say), Eros & Eros Mk II were names used by UK distributor Rosetti, and some of their guitars were indeed from Matsumoku - including this Jazz. They also sourced from Fujigen (I had an Eros Tele identical to the equivalent Ibanez) and later ones - particularly the garish LP copies - were Korean & not very good. The MIJ ones however are typically good quality. J.
Jon I have to agree the body quality is in fact very good I had just started preppping it for a refinish when the 71 Fender came along,I dont think the pups are all that but if it goes to a BCer and they let me know I will chuck in a set of pups that will fit that I bought recently for it...everythings there apart from the neck...every last screw.. I also need MONEY as I just bought a 79 Gibson Custom and a Fender Twin reverb and I forgot to consult MrsT.....again.. -
Nah the colour is.
If anything like the BJFC teardrop I had then the only saving grace will be the paint,,,,fretting looked like it had been put in by a 5 yr old and made from cutdown bicycle spokes. The pickups were god damn awful, the fretboard was terrible the pickgaurd that was advertised as steel was infact some sort of shiny plastic....Sold it on ASAP,happy to lose dough...a pal had some sort of 50s copy new yorker jazz box affair It was tonaly dead acoustically,I think it was made from reclaimed T Chests... Dont buy these make without trying them out...they look pretty in the adds in the hand they feel cheap,,,,,Is this just my opinion.....youve been warned!!!
I love all the Indie, Madchester and Britpop era stuff (Im that age).I have been listening to some classics from the Seahorses,Stone Roses, and the odd track from all those great bands that had just one hit that still get played in the clubs now.
I have been lucky so far although I have never purchased one without trying it first. I went to get a new Warwick and it was faulty in the shop (Musical exchanges in Birmingham) and ended up with a brand new at the time 2002 Ray as I had the money to burn and the rest is history!
You telling us youve had a bass for almost 8 years.......you must be getting through a tin of Andrews a day
