  1. Basically what Chris said.... This is a transition Euro bass before Stuart got the rights back to the 'Spector' logo/brand. Full maple, just like the US basses, and well before they switched to the walnut sandwich of the LX models. These are excellent basses but quite hard to put a value on as some people want the full Spector logo/crown inlay experience while others prefer the more classic build quality of these. With the headstock laminate I'd leave as is though. Let any buyer deal with it, should they deem it necessary. You're probably talking around £1200-£1500 for this. There are a lot more Spectors out there, and choice of Spector styles, than there used to be so used prices aren't what they could/should be..... and this beauty needs the right buyer!
  2. Admins - May be time for a clean up? e.g. Delete/Remove anyone who hasn't visited in the the last 2 years?
  3. Yes, a Kramer era NS2A.
  4. THIS..... just beautiful. A Top 10 ever guitar solo from Erland Krauser and stunning performances from all, including the phenomenal Todd Sucherman (Styx) on drums... Wonderful 🥰
  5. We're a 7 piece band (2 lead vocalists), drums keys, 2 guitarists and bass. In a theatre type environment it allows us to set the stage in a much more equal way visually.
  6. Played at an arts centre in Petersfield on Friday night with Leather & Lace. Venue wasn't great for onstage sound but apparently it was fine out front and the audience loved it! Personal highlight was the sound tech who said my bass sound was best he's ever worked with live! Splendid 💜😎
  7. I'd happily vote for Gene. He's a lot better than he is given credit for and hugely influenced me to not only take up bass but also in my playing style.
  8. Meh..... Oh well, I've voted for my 4th fave.... Rutger.... plus 2 others then....
  9. Peter Cetera Tiran Porter John Deacon
  10. Sounds fine on a 4 with a good octave pedal.
  11. Juice by Lizzo seems to go down well when we do it..... great bassline too.
  12. Yep, it was an old late 80's Hamer Blitz bass. He picked it up recently and has been playing it on this tour...
  13. Saw Extreme/Living Colour last night and bumped into @Merton in the bar! Enjoyed Living Colour (having seen them numerous times since the original Marquee and Astoria gigs back in the day) but the sound wasn't great and I thought they should have dumped the opening Led Zep cover and played Middle Man instead... Who needs covers when you have a limited set time? Doug's Spector cut through nicely though as always Extreme were on fire.... Fantastic performance and great set list! Rare to have a band where 3 of the 4 members are all capable of being lead singer and they capitalised on it with some fantastic harmony vocals. Gary Cherone's voice is still very good considering their advancing ages and the energy levels he was putting in. Pat Badger's bass playing was excellent as always.... hugely underrated player imho... Gutted we had to leave just before the final track of the main set 'Get The Funk Out' (which is what we had to do) as with the tube station shut we had to navigate 4 trains to get home at the end of the night
  14. That already happens. This is something new/different using technology.
  15. Having seen and loved the ABBA avatar show I knew KISS would be next as soon as I saw it. It makes perfect sense and I look forward to seeing it (though I imagine it will be based in Vegas, rather than as a touring show). 🤘🤘
  16. I think we may have auditioned for the same band? In Soton?
  17. Extreme & Living Colour at Kentish Town O2 Academy on Monday.
  18. Saw this for sale and at a great price. Congrats!!
  19. To my mind THE most 'sensual' song, lyric and performance ever.....💜🥰
  20. The beautiful songwriting and voice of Nerina Pallot 💜
  21. Saw the awesome Steely Dan tribute 'Simply Dan' on Friday night in Wokingham, Berkshire. A 10 piece band, they really reproduce the classic songs superbly and every time I see them I truly believe that their guitarist Darren Spicer is probably the most talented guitarist in the country. He doesn't just play the guitar parts of Skunk, Dias, Carlton, Graydon, etc etc incredibly accurately note-wise, but also with the feel and tone associated with each. That is no mean feat considering the polar opposites of many of their styles! Fantastic!
