That is a great rock venue, but it sure gets bloody warm in there.
Check the thread on The Point in Off Topic.... It's for good...... but the owners are trying to sort some sort of 'rescue package'
  2. Tech21 Landmark 600.... It has two dedicated preamps (BDDI & RPM) which can be run seperately or combined for thunderous tones (e.g. run the RPM clear and deep for the low end... and run the BDDI grinding and cutting for the high end). Take your choice of cab after that.... though my preference would be for a Mesa Diesel 2x15, Bergantino 610 or 215....
  3.
£400 for an 87 JBS is a bargain! - I'll even put money on them being better than the new McKagan basses. Lovin the CIJ ;o)
+1 These Jap JB Specials are much better than the recent Mex Duff McKagan reissues.... Have a free bump for a great bass!
  4.
I think Girls Aloud are better than The Spice Girls.
+1

  6.
I might be free to pop into Camberley. I presume all basschatters will be on the guest list and get a free Jack 'n Coke on entry?
Err..... hmmm.....
  7.
Not sure if you've tried here, great venue small stage, pyros may be an issue Colonial Bar in Horndean!! Colonial Bar
Too small for us, really... but looks like a cool bar!

  9.
There's a new venue in Swindon, Stratton Live (Saw Hells Bells there before it was done up), not sure if it's big enough for you. I have a name and number if it's of any use. Stratton-Live
Cheers! Yes please...PM me...
  10.
South West, Cardiff didn't count it's Wales??
It's hard finding a club type venue that will allow our 'production' (firebreathing, indoor pyro etc). If you know of anywhere that has regular rock tributes and fits our 'requirements' in your area - let me know...
  11. New dates added to original post
  12. Nice! These are great basses with a clear, cutting tone all of their own
  13. Sorry to hear all this mate.... hope things sort themselves out for you! Beautiful bass this.... so someone will be very happy....
  14. Ah, almost as entertaining as the Liam Gallagher thread Personally and IMHO.... U2 have written some pretty decent tunes, but they have also written some goddamn AWFUL ones. They have an instantly recognisable sound which sets them apart from most mainstream drivel, but they REALLY aren't as good as they like to think they are... They have a lead singer who annoys the turds out of me. If he lay across my lap on a TV programme, while ignoring the outstretched hands of his fans a couple of seats away I'd tell him to "get off my f*cking lap unless he wants a kicking".... I have no opinion on Adam Clayton. He seems to do a solid enough job for the band though..... ....and I defend my right as freespeaking Basschat member to have these opinions.
  15. That's a beauty.... and love the colour!
  16.
Sold a 6.0 to buy the 3.0-10T and couldn't be happier
Awesome rig

  19.
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=358765544 I had a sound back in 90-92, that I loved. 1976 Thunderbird played with fingers and upside down, (lefty) through an SVT II, into a Marshall 4x12". No FX. Only tracks that I played on here are "Breathing Under Water" and "Zero". The others are played by one of the guits when I left. Guitars, Les Paul Custom through a Boogie and a Jaguar, through a 30th Anniversary Marshall stack, all with beautiful use of FX. That's me at the back with the hat on.
Nice tone Steve! Just enough growl/grind & mids...
  20. A strong, deep & clear piano-tone with a touch of growl and grind & hi-mids a little boosted. That's my fave tone...
  21. Gorgeous collection, to cover all bas(s)es! Congrats
  22. Not now, sorry, I missed out on the bass I wanted to replace it with....

    Gone.

    Bargain.... someone should grab this...
  24.
Phil Lynott for definite. I'd like to see someone put out a Louis Johnson signature bass, but I don't know what would be special about it!
Fender Japan made a limited reissue run of these which were basically 70's reissues with big TV logo, in black with mirror pickguard. A couple of us on this board are lucky owners of these....
  25.
I should be dropping in to the Belfast show with a couple of friends of mine (fingers crossed!) Hope to see you there mate!
Lovely!! I'll be the bloke in the bat wings with blood on his chin and an 'axe' around his neck....
