4.
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=358765544 I had a sound back in 90-92, that I loved. 1976 Thunderbird played with fingers and upside down, (lefty) through an SVT II, into a Marshall 4x12". No FX. Only tracks that I played on here are "Breathing Under Water" and "Zero". The others are played by one of the guits when I left. Guitars, Les Paul Custom through a Boogie and a Jaguar, through a 30th Anniversary Marshall stack, all with beautiful use of FX. That's me at the back with the hat on.
Nice tone Steve! Just enough growl/grind & mids...
 5. A strong, deep & clear piano-tone with a touch of growl and grind & hi-mids a little boosted. That's my fave tone...
 6. Gorgeous collection, to cover all bas(s)es! Congrats
 7. Not now, sorry, I missed out on the bass I wanted to replace it with....

 9.
Phil Lynott for definite. I'd like to see someone put out a Louis Johnson signature bass, but I don't know what would be special about it!
Fender Japan made a limited reissue run of these which were basically 70's reissues with big TV logo, in black with mirror pickguard. A couple of us on this board are lucky owners of these....
 10.
I should be dropping in to the Belfast show with a couple of friends of mine (fingers crossed!) 11.
This sounds terrible, but once I bought a secondhand guitar, had it delivered to work, dismantled it and took the bits home over a couple of days, and then announced that I was going to 'make something up out of spare parts that I have lying around". It worked.
Superb, I'll have to remember that one...
 12.
They do seem to have a decent blend of playability and affordability.
Big +1
 13.
I can only go on personal experience here. Buy it sneak it in the house, wait a while then put it on display and if ever questioned tell here you've had it for ages. Yes that old failsafe.......lie.
Ah, that old classic......
 14. I have 39 basses.... 7 guitars.... and 2 bass rigs. My wife doesn't tell me what to do
 15. Nice playing..... and very cool to get a comment from the man himself!
 16. Have a free bump for a beautiful bass! I've got one identical to this & love it... I believe you may be being slightly optimistic price-wise in the current climate, but it's worth every penny.... good luck!

 19.
I've just come back from my first visit to Oslo and I loved it. Some of the happiest people I've ever met, should be great gigs. Will you be able to afford to hang out for a few days after the gigs?
We played in Oslo (at The Sentrum) about 10 years ago, but it was a flying visit so barely saw the city. Hopefully as we're at the same venue for two days we'll get a chance for a bit of a wander around this time. Flying straight back the day after though....
 20. Lovely, will be a pleasure to meet you all! Please do come up & say Hi! You still won't be able to recognise me in the street afterwards though....
