So TNT picked up my amp on Monday delivered it to Dave Green at Ashdown on Tuesday and guess what was waiting for me when I got home this evening. Correct. A lovely, serviced ABM600 with a new valve, working beautifully. I expected to be without if for a couple of weeks. Thank you so much Dave - I am genuinely blown away by this level of response and customer service as it rarely happens like this. I was a fan of the sound when I first tried the amp but I'm now an ambassador for the brand. I want to buy Ashdown matching cabs to demonstrate that commitment. Just bought a used cab recently. It would be silly to move that on so soon. I could use a reason to buy more gear. What to do. 🤣

Bought mine off here a month ago or so with the hum on the value. It arrived with Dave today so hopefully will get fixed. Didn't want to attempt it myself although I've changed the valves on my old OTB500 a couple of times to change the tone.

Looks like a lovely cab. Bit heavy for me - just in the process of selling my K410 which is a similar weight c.30kg. I tried it back to back with my new (to me) Epifani UL310 and a love the punchy, clarity of sounds from that. ABM600 is en-route to Dave Green as we speak so look forward to getting that back and pairing them back up again.

Gotta say I’m tempted to put down a deposit on one of these. I’ve cycled through the HX Stomp and HX Effects and trying an MS-60B currently. Feels remiss not to give it a run.

Oh nice. Although in my experience 'ultimate' and anything to do with pedals is probably pushing it. I don't think such a thing existng (except for the HX Stomp obvs).

Does the onboard comp feature before the pre-amp or in the FX loop do you know? Get complicated(ish) having a compressor into the front of the amp and an FX loop coming out of the back no?

So another question, has anyone here put an OBD-3 through their ABM? I've recently bought one and I'm getting so much noise interference - have tried it through the front, FX loop and with active/passive bass and changed cables but no difference. Clearly it could be the pedal but I boiught it off here and I trust that its working fine. I also put it through a practice amp I have and it was completely silent. I know these do have some reputation of being noisy but just wondering if this combination of amp and pedal is particularly troublesome??! I wonder if it is somehow linked to the potential issue with the valve button.
