  1. I generally look bored and grumpy, but really I'm trying to count and remember what comes next.
  2. Sadly not, sorry. If however you give me £1,900 I'll give you the bass and throw in the gigbag for free! 😄
  3. I just found this in my parts drawer but have no use for it. It's a 2005 Fender US Standard Strat pickguard in white (more off-white now) in excellent condition. Yours for £25 inc postage.
  4. I've had mine for 5 or 6 weeks and I love it more each time I play it. It's really comfortable and although the sounds are somewhat limited (humbucker, single tone knob etc.), it really isn't boomy if you don't want it to be and there are some lovely tones you can get from it.
  5. Thanks. The finish is called Mercury
  6. P Basses are my absolute favourites and most of my basses are a derivative of the original P Bass in one form or another. There are a couple that aren't (not pictured) and in truth they don't get used anywhere near as much. The one volume and one tone (Sandberg notwithstanding) allows me to come up with all the sounds that I want to without having to fiddle with the controls endlessly.
  7. Such a shame. I played there a couple of times in the dim and distant past but actually remember it more as being a frequent haunt when I used to work in Watford.
  8. I have a few sax bits going spare so thought I'd try here as I know there are a few horn players on the forum. First up is a sealed unopened box of 10 Rico 2 1/2 Tenor Sax Reeds- £25 inc postage Next is a BG Revelation Tenor Sax ligature and cap (model L24RJ) in excellent condition- £25 inc. Finally a BG Revelation Soprano Sax ligature and cap (model L25RJ) in excellent condition- £20 inc.
  9. I've had similar experiences to Chris with DPD recently and actually have used Parcelforce successfully for the last few shipments. I always insure through Secursus as Parcelforce won't insure instruments to anything over £100 from memory. Touch wood though, I've not needed to claim so far.
  10. For sale is a fab Gruv Gear Gigblade Sliver slim line gig bag that will be a great fit for a shortscale bass. I've used this for my Sandberg Lionel and Mustang Bass (the Lionel is 107cm long for reference) and the basses fit as snug as the proverbial bug. It's in excellent overall condition. The gig bag is made with a tough water resistant nylon with a solid rubber grip at the bottom and it has several pockets, including a hidden one for wallets etc. and it has over 1.5" thick interior padding. It's also very slim and doesn't feel anywhere near as bulky as many other gig bags of this quality. Yours for £85 inc. postage.
  11. I'm sorry to hear about the damage as these really are great basses. Hopefully you get it resolved to your satisfaction. I'm really happy with mine 👍
  12. I recently sold Dave a Fender Mustang bass in a very pleasant, completely hassle-free deal. A lovely guy and highly recommended.
  13. This is me too, but many times over with the same things again and again. If the definition of madness is doing the same thing the same way repeatedly and expecting different results then I'm well and truly in the basement of the loony bin.
  14. Thanks. It's 8 1/2lbs (3.8kg) which surprised me as it's slab bodied. It balances really nicely and I find the neck really comfortable. Sound-wise there's definitely definition in the sound. The E String isn't as defined as the others but I guess you'd expect that. I really like the sound though but it certainly wouldn't be described as hi-fi. I've put roundwound strings on it as I'd imagine flats (even my favourite TI's) would make it a bit too warm for my personal taste but obviously everyone likes different things.
  15. I'd contact Will at Bass Bros in the first instance. He's sold a few basses for me recently and has been excellent and is completely trustworthy. He also offers to either sell on commission or buy them outright if you're more interested in doing that.
  16. The serial number is the right range for a Mexican Fender matching the date stamps in the neck pocket and on the heel.
  17. I should imagine so, but then hasn't everything?! 🙄
