5.
I've heard lots of good things about the Lakland Joe Osborn 5 and I'd really like to try one out - The Gallery has one Skyline, but I'd like to compare a few back to back if possible. Google isn't giving me much to go on, so does anybody know a place in London that has a few in stock? Cheers!
Where abouts are you? I've just picked up a JO5 and am based in Woking, Surrey
 6.
that's the one! just got back from day four of the course. to be honest we didn't do anything too exciting today. i finished carving the neck with the spoke shave (thanks scoop!), sanded the lacquer on the body from yesterday so that it was flat, routed the musicman pickup, then we spent the rest of today lacquering. there was nothing much we could do whilst we were lacquering - we started cutting the nut, switched the blend on the seymour duncan tone circuit to a 3 way switch and sanded the edges of the scratchplate, small jobs like that, but mostly just played with ruby (jons dog) whilst we waited to put on the next coat. the neck's feeling lovely now, and the body's looking really cool. all looking good, but quite a hard day tommorow as we've got a lot to do.
Looks better each day!! This is one of the best Posts on BC I've come across. I've been tuning every evening and looking forward to the next one each night. God knows what I'm going to do after tomorrow night. My wife says I'm sad How about we have a whip round and send you back to build another one during your next holiday!!
 7. My Grandfather was the first person to ever do this. He started this trend long before electric instruments were invented. We had a certificate at home from the King confirming that he was the first person to do this and bestowing on him the official title of Leader of the Strap. Unfortunately he's dead now and so is everyone who can vouch for this fact.
 8.
I'm not! Needs must though! Studio to pay for. Buyer has paid deposit and has assured the balance asap! VERY smooth transaction. The lucky buyer is getting one hell of a Bass guitar I can tell you!!
I know what you mean. A top quality bass for a bargain price. Good luck with the studio project.

 15.
MB1. "Well whats the recipe today jim?" ...... .........a has it gone Bump!
Ended with 34 people watching it (and laughing gleefully obviously). 6 offers, but nothing over £1000. I'd let this go for £1,050 plus postage, but I've relisted it and will see if I get much joy. Don't you hate the "I love this bass but can't afford £1,100. Would you accept £500" questions?

 20.
SO tempted to offer my 30th in a trade.. But it's not on your 'wanted' list!
Tom, your 30th Anniversary Ray is stunning and if I didn't already own a Ray (not as nice as yours) I'd bite your hand off for a trade!!
 21. Many apologies, but the arranged visit to Jon never happened, as I spent most of Thursday waiting for police, scenes of crime, the insurance company etc due to some piece of scum trying to break in during the early hours. Fortunately, the security bolt and the dog frightened them away before they got in fully, but 2 houses down the road weren't so lucky. In a way I'm glad I didn't catch them as if I had, I'd probably be in custody as we speak. There seems to be a run recently of burglars seeing a nice car on the drive and breaking in to steal the keys and take the car. We were away this weekend and i managed to avoid my wife's question as to why I was bringing a Stingray and a Lakland JO with us. I think she would have been more p*ssed off if I asked her to sit in the back and put the basses in the passenger seat!!
 22.
That's a lovely bass Nick - pity I've no cash.................Amex? Good luck, Mart
That'll do nicely Mart!!
