3.
Now just looking for a Fretless 4 or SR5 or G&L L2500 to go with it.
Woooaahhh Neddy, Woooaahhh!!
 4. I've just taken delivery of Richardd's (mine now!!) 1964 Closet Classic Jazz bass. Wow!! It's absolutely perfect and arrived when expected with excellent communication. Thanks Rich- you're a Gentleman
 5.
I've got a Lake Placid JO5 too. Love it to bits. Can't believe nobody's bitten yet. So have a free bump on me.
Thanks very much for the endorsement Mr Thumbs
 6.
You have a pm sir cheers steve
If you keep going at this rate Steve, your rack case is going to be bigger than your cabs!!
 7. My God!! Jon's serious about the end of April. That hopefully gives me until June to save up for the balance owed on my Shuker!!
 8.
How about a Bongo 5 in sapphire black? I'm in Surrey too so if you wanted to do a swap for a bit to see how it suits us both I'd be up for that..?
Very interested Dougal. I'm going to give the JO a run-out on Thursday night to see how I get on. I'm in a bit of a quandry as Jon Shuker has given me an ETA of end of April now (we'll see....) so I'll have a 5 Stringer then. I guess I need to decide whether I need 2 or them or if I can cut down to just one.
 9.
Kinda like that Lake Placid Blue... How about a Corvette $$ or an MIA S1 Jazz in Candy Cola?
I've got a Jazz on it's way (much to Martthebass' amusement!!). Don't know much about Corvettes I must admit. Let me see what I can find out and I'll maybe PM you...
 10.
WOW, what a looker Love the Lakland. All I got to offer is my trusty MM Stingray 2004 Black with rosewood F/b. I know you have some of these so I aint holding out much hope. She is lovely tho Cheers Col
Sorry Col, one Ray 4 stringer is enough for me. Mart, I've fitted a mirrored guard on this and took it to rehearsal this afternoon. It looks fantastic andplays really well and I had a blast today. Very different from the DJ5 and personally I htink it plays a lot easier and feels more comfoortable (sounds better too). If it doesn't go soon, I'm going to gig it on Thursday night and make a decision on whether I keep hold of it.
 11.
How about a Waterstone Tom Petersson 12-String in cherry? I'm playing in a punky band and it's never getting used, seems a shame. I'm on the market for a five, although I was thinking about a DJ5, but this could be an adequate stopgap. P
Adequate stop gap?? Jeez.... THanks for the offer, but I'm really looking for a 4 stringer (possibly 5)
 12. I bought this off TimmyC a while back, but for some reason I just can't get on with Laklands. I don't know what it is, but I've tried the Bob Hollness, Darryl Hannah and now the kelly Osborn signatures buth they're just not for me. This is immaculate and is a beautiful bass. It's got the classic Jazz sound and the neck is really slim and comfortable for a 5 stringer. (Thanks to TimmyC for the excellent photos!!)

 14. Just sold Chris an Audere preamp. We agreed the price and the silly Sod sent me a bit more than that via Paypal to share the costs. Outstanding effort and highly recommended. Enjoy the preamp Chris
 15. I bought this for a project which and basically I'm not going to need it. This is new and unused (only taken out of the box for photos). It's the vol/vol/treble, bass model ( I didn't want a 3 band eq) and the guys at Audere have constructed it with black metal knobs instead of the standard chrome ones (as requested by me). This cost me £79 plus shipping plus tax, so I'm looking for £80 inc postage. This fits most jazz basses and Lakland Joe Osborns without any modification. Please PM me if you have any other questions.
 16. I love those Magnums. Boom Boom Boom!!
 17.
Well, the beat up Hagstrom finally arrived (grr, VAT man got me this time) and had yielded a plethora of parts including the holy grail, yes: One Hagstrom jack plate c/w screws finally in my possession! Also got many other screws I was missing, like the proper pickup height screws which then liberated my missing pickguard screws (yes, someone had used them as pickguard height screws - no wonder they didn't grip beyond a certain tension) It doesn't seem like a lot, but to me it makes all the difference having completeness. In time I'd like to find more round headed machine screws for the switch mounting in order to fit with the period, but they'll do just now. Before I disappeared on holiday, I started lacquering the neck, and I've just applied the Hagstrom logo to the headstock: It looks a lot more businesslike now. More lacquering to do here. Hope to have a finished neck over the course of the next week. The old beat up Hagstrom also could yield some shinier machine heads than the current ones, so another win there
Mate I wish I had the talent and patience to do something like this- great job as always
 18.
jury's still out
I could've sworn it was Dot Cotton on vocals and Phil Mitchell on guitar...
 19. Lights cigarette and lies back in deep contemplation..... Well done mate. Great thread and lovely looking bass
