  1. Oh I get it you work for SBL and you're trying to drive up views of their most recent mailout video
  2. Oh I quite like them. But then again there are quite a few bands I don't like as well.
  3. Exhibit A m'lud. the thrilling Cinema Show instrumental (Phil, Mike, Tone at their best, then joined by Bill Bruford) with pointless b&w movies pasted over the top.
  4. I could watch this all day for the strong trouser statements alone. Shame they've cut it with the vintage movie footage (see also late 70s Genesis live footage)
  5. Lets Go Crazy from the 3rdEyeBlind tour (which I was lucky enough to see at the Roundhouse). Features Ida Neilsen bass solo!
  6. The entire album is a masterpiece, but this is stand out for me, as is U Got The Look, Hot Thing, The Cross, the title track, and probably a load more
  7. Tony Bennett doing a BBC4 Session at LSO St Luke's, on iPlayer for a month or so: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00cgp0n/tony-bennett-bbc-sessions
  8. Sad and shocking news. What a delightful and unique voice. Always loved this haunting tune from Jah Wobble.
  9. I think the massive elephant in the room with this video is the big zit on Jerry's forehead. Really distracting. Bit of witch hazel on there and it'll pop out in no time mate. btw Scott Devine and the gang did a video on the "hidden" (not really) riff from the video intro recently: https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2023/07/09/scott-devine-breaking-down-jaco-pastoriuss-modern-electric-bass-opening-bass-riff/
  10. Still got my original VHS somewhere and the accompanying book. Gimme a gig!
  11. What an amazing voice. A sterling innings at 96 years young. Here is he from Glastonbury 1998, a ray of sunshine in an otherwise rain-sodden year, immaculately turned out and in fine fine voice (and a blatant repost from the recent Glastonbury '23 thread). I'm going to try to squeeze Old Devil Moon into my next jam night.
  12. That sounds like an awesome opportunity, and also I really like the sound of your line-up and modus operandi. Just tell them to get their big boy/girl pants on and carpe the living diem out of the situation. If it goes well then you were right all along and you can bask in the glory. If it doesn't then it's improv and you can pretend it did.
  13. That Simple Minds announcement (see also https://simpleminds.tmstor.es/😞 (footnote on product page: "product may differ to image displayed" haha)
  14. Effects pedals. Sort out a convention for placement of input, output, expression and power sockets
  15. I'm curious as to which ABC album is better than Lexicon. (and "The Best Of" doesn't count) I think Simple Minds at least get a bye on account of currently touring most of the material shown in the Sky program. ABC have probably long been "Martin and session players".
  16. Anyway now I've had chance to think and to answer my own question, here's my series two line-up Peter Gabriel - Us The Mars Volta - Amputecture (assuming Juan Alderete is back in action) Tool - Lateralus (Holy Gift running order, Forty Six & 2 encore) Magma - Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré (sing along everyone!) Opeth - Heritage or Pale Communion Phish - A Picture of Nectar or Billy Breathes obviously most of those would struggle to fit into the 60-minute format, but I'm sure they'll work it out
  17. Dare I ask what happened to the singer you're replacing, and could she stay in situ until you've got a replacement?
  18. and probably on Now TV, which (I think) has a monthly rolling contract like Netflix etc. I'm sure someone who knows what I'm talking about will be along shortly to correct me on this
  19. it took me a few years to get anywhere near the bible. hiya!
  20. test welcome Furnance
  21. Ah ok, that's a shame if that's the case (folk responding to that are getting VERY excited btw - live album, NGD tour, DVD etc)
