  3. By the power of Grayskull...
  4. In case this weren’t obvious, as this is a MIDI device, you can trigger it with anything that sends MIDI note data, so that even includes footpedal controllers such as the Morningstar stuff.
  5. Selling due to vets bills and being mainly IEM at the mo. I bought in 2020 from Bass Direct pre-owned. Great condition, largely stayed at home under the cover. Probably pick up only, I travel up and down the A1 from St Neots to London a lot so possible drop off. I’m willing to post if I can find a reasonable box at cost. Hot cover and markbass wedge included. I have some packing materials would just need to source a suitable box, so happy to discuss shipping.
  6. One left hand tip that I found helpful when starting out on DB is not to squeeze the string down against the fingerboard - as @Burns-bass says, the thumb is just a guide and you should be able to get a usable note without your thumb even touching the back of the neck (not saying you'll ever actually do this when playing normally of course). To achieve this, you need to use the weight of your arm and your shoulder muscles to pull the string down, rather than your hand muscles. I also recommend starting with the Simandl fingering method - you can modify it later but it's a good way to get your hand shape sorted out initially.
  7. Best bedroom/ practice amp you can get, drum machine, effects, tuner. What’s not to like. Good luck with the sale x
  8. Starting to get the hang of it, my 1964 Thunderbird II, 1965 Embassy Deluxe and 1965 non reverse Thunderbird II.
  9. I’m still struggling with working out what buttons to push, good job I’m not flying a bomber, I’d be dangerous.👍
  10. Here are some of my EB’s, trying to work my way round this site.

    Me….

There’s me thinking to myself, “What?” Then there was the sound of a penny dropping from and great height (and probably bouncing ).
  12. All very true thanks buddy! Quite surprised this is still here as when I was looking for one they were sold used for not much less and very quickly? Not least as this "New" I only had a quick noodle on it to hear the effects both mains and battery so can confirm it does everything Roland promise! Gaucho
  13. Very nice , never tried one but always wanted to
  14. Alembic Stanley Clarke deluxe, brought on eBay about 15 years ago for £2800, sold in 2020 for £5250 inc postage ( still think I sold it too cheap) but hey ho. status empathy 4 brought from bass direct for £850 I think, sold it for £450 which was way too cheap but wanted to get shot of it. Swings and roundabouts I guess 🤣x
  15. Hi, A very well balanced 10lbs 5ozs this one, so no fly-weight however not heavy IMO. Regards Gaucho
  16. 15 posts in and nobody has made the Dam Busters joke. We're slipping.
  17. These are absolute things of beauty 😍 They sound immense as well - if only I could justify such a purchase. GLWTS!
  18. Wow. Museum piece. Or more exactly magazine piece about music history ahah! Amazing. Glws
  19. For sale due to an older Jazz Bass having come in and usurped it, this is a lovely player's grade 69 Jazz. Obtained in a trade on Basschat a while ago, I then had a professional nitro refinish done, including some delightful checking on the paintwork. Before I owned it it's had a replacement ebony fretboard with new binding, very professional job. I believe the pots and pickups are original, and pretty sure the bridge is too. Tuners are definitely original and are a little stiff but perfectly functional, they may benefit from some WD40 but not critical. Scratchplate isn't original either. Weighs in at 4.5kg according to my bathroom scales. Comes in a very cool but very heavy 70s/80s semi flight case, and will be very heavy to post so pickup/meet up greatly preferred. Alternatively I can provide a decent old gigbag instead. Can't upload pics here due to hitting my limit, if I can sort it out I'll add one here in a sec. https://ibb.co/WKM8BxV https://ibb.co/gzfGmTw https://ibb.co/44PSKT7 https://ibb.co/8d872QG https://ibb.co/B6Pn3Hd https://ibb.co/qCtqv32 https://ibb.co/5s6h36C https://ibb.co/t8Rcvn9 https://ibb.co/k5bqBGf https://ibb.co/fr99jGk https://ibb.co/7r5Sfjj https://ibb.co/MsYWsNc https://ibb.co/bHdvpz5 https://ibb.co/mhc9MH5 https://ibb.co/vxLR8Hb https://ibb.co/hdcfyqk https://ibb.co/8rwWfkm https://ibb.co/44RMwt4 https://ibb.co/f1c0JwZ https://ibb.co/2vR49PX https://ibb.co/h2KkRgF https://ibb.co/6D5sMcP https://ibb.co/crv8CBG https://ibb.co/JQ3zZSQ https://ibb.co/nkR7XMP https://ibb.co/tzmgST8 https://ibb.co/jfxgxzQ https://ibb.co/rF4yYB0 https://ibb.co/k0LfY7L https://ibb.co/1nd1R75
