Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!

Time has come to let go of this great bass rig. Had this for gigs but only got through one before the band had issues again. If I play again will be going to a power amp/modelling pedal and In ear setup as most of the places I can practice are quiet or have cabs available. Head sold ..... Markbass MB58R 104 PURE Bass Cab 4ohm 800watt version This is a light exceptionally portable bass cab With great bass response which is surprising after you have carried it in. Has an adjustable tweeter and is just a great cab. Weight is around 16kg so an easy one person lift. Sounds great is great would keep it but is just taking up spare room space. Featuring four 10" custom designed neodymium speakers housed in a spacious cabinet, it produces articulate tones with a rich. fulfilling bass response. In addition, the 104 PURE boasts a clear high end through a built-in Hi-Fi tweeter. This formidable speaker can handle up to 800 Watts, so you've got ample headroom for those situations where you need plenty of volume. And speaking of situations, the MB58R is easy to get situated thanks to its incredibly light construction! Utilising innovative material for a lighter frame, Markbass have produced a cab that's easy to transport and astonishingly powerful. Crossover Frequency: 3.5 Khz Frequency Response: 40hz to 20khz Sensitivity Db Spl: 103 Db Impedance: 4 Ohms Reflex: Rear 578mm x 600mm x 470mm (£500 on its own but collection only on the cab as wouldn't have a box etc) Any questions feel free to ask. Would consider a Nice Jap Pbass or a PJ of some sort as a trade /part trade

71, the good gigs always give me a burst of enthusiasm, excitement, youthfulness and energy. The bad gigs make me wonder why I'm still gigging. Daryl

I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer collection in person. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you

On a plus note its great to see so many 60+ bassists keeping themselves busy and hopefully i'll keep going a good bit yet all going well. (currently 65) Dave

At 65 now i've suffered back and shoulder issues over the years. Last 4 yrs going to gym has definitely helped but you need to find out what exercises will help your issue. The gym Personal Trainers have all been very helpful in the small family run gym i use. Weight training in past 6mths has been a godsend for me. Not rapid movements but slow controlled weight lifting with 3 second negatives. I still won't use a 10lb plus bass for a full gig but prefer my Sandbergs which are a good easy weight around the 8.5 lbs. Pretty sure i've had this conversation with @Lozz196 before and he's been down the fitness route too but obviously not resolved his own back issue. Dave

Tbh, the frets are knackered but I'm fitting some new flats later on tonight and see how it plays. A great deal as well 😎

Nice job! Daryl

That’s lovely. What a find and at the perfect moment too by the sound of it. Then again, bass is all about the timing, right. Nice one.

I'm retired/ pensioner. I probably won't have any contact or connection with people until my gig this Saturday. Daryl

Seems odd that despite the takeover apparently being a done deal some weeks ago that there's doesn't seem to have been any official announcement by Fender either about aquiring the company or what their future plans for the brand and it's various models are.

I’d say genuine, and from what I’ve read a good range of basses so a good score. Agree with the thoughts of changed pickguard.

- why not? They own it now. (That bit of his history)

Given their actions so far, I'm not sure that Fender will have much interest in putting the workshop Leo used to design non Fender branded instruments on display. I don't think they necessarily want that part of his history memorialised.
