Selling a beautiful example of a Lakland Skyline JO4. Lovely sounding and playing bass. Made in Korea. (Pre-being now known as a 44-60) In great condition. Overall great condition with expected wear and tear from over 10 years of being played. There is a small dent on the fingerboard edge but cannot be be felt when playing (well not by myself) I have too many basses and this one is not getting played so it has to go Includes a Hipshot D-tuner and Lindy Fralin PUs No case included but I have some available if needed. Anyone is welcome to come and try it out! Collection preferred. UK shipping only and not included in the price. Any questions also welcomed.

Malgomaj started following New MXR bass synth pedal released

Anyone having any luck with powering the MXR with a Noble preamp? I’ve had the synth pedal since the first batch came out but it behaves strange when powered by the Noble. I did contact the guy that makes the preamp and hi had heard other with similar problems. It works great with the Mxr power supply so it isn’t a big problem but I have one outlet free in my noble and thought it would be nice to power my entire pedalboard either the preamp.

Whether you need a Precision might be the wrong question. Maybe you should ask yourself if you enjoy a Precision. If no one has asked you to provide one in a professional context then in an immediate sense, no you don't need one. Whether you would you get some extra joy from playing one would seem to be the more pertinent question. If you would then it would be a good purchase if you can easily afford it. My go-to bass for well over a decade has been a USA Lakland PJ with a Jazz neck and roundwounds that I use mainly as a P Bass. I've had it a long time and it serves me very well for just about everything. It's boringly reliable and I seldom find it can't sound appropriate for whatever style of music I'm massacring at any given time. Most of the time though just the Precision pickup sounds right for the music, whatever the genre.

I’m sure all the early Tokai instruments were Japanese made - the logo had to be altered to a block version (because it looked rather like a rather more famous US brand at the time) and then the headstock changed to a more angular design around mid 80s. I’m sure Bassassin will know the correct history and manufacturing info. -
it didn’t sound up to much though, seemed to suck all the low end out, and on a dedicated bass effect not a good advert. Caveat i watched on phone speakers

When I was deliberating whether to go for the 4 or 5 I thought the 4 looked like a toy and the new one doesn't look a great deal better. For £80 more the 5 looked like a much better purchase.( I'm a shortscale fan too) Will give it a try when it lands tomorrow and swap it for a Sire if it doesn't work out. I had a Cort Space which I thought was o.k so it will be interesting to see how it compares. I actually like the pickguard but will get a better colour one made if its a keeper.
