Kemper Profiler Rack and Remote in Flightcase £975

What can I say about this pedal that hasn't already been said? Super cool and unique filter used by Flea and lots of other people. No other filter I've come across sounds quite like this little green beast, and it also does the famous "dub trick" of turning your bass into a subby monster by turning off the sensitivity so the filter doesn't open. It's been well used in it's ~30 year lifetime with a few bumps and scrapes in the finish, but all is working as it should. Somehow the notoriously "difficult to keep hold of" battery door is still intact on this one! No velcro, and rear sticker with serial number still intact also. Really cool pedal that I owned a number of years ago, and wanted to revisit it out of nostalgia! I've had my fun with it here at home, and now it's time to pass it on. Boss to 3.5mm power adaptor included. Looking for exactly what I paid for it from here a few weeks ago: £60. Add a £5er for delivery, or can be picked up from Ickenham NW London.

Up for sale is my Bright Onion Mini Dual Momentary Footswitch. Perfect companion for HX Stomp etc to add a couple of switches. In great condition, with velcro on the bottom. Will include a 28cm EBS Flat TRS Patch Cable (£7 new). This pedal + cable would be £40 posted from Bright Onion, so on offer here for £28 posted. Any questions, please ask. Cheers!

Up for sale is an absolutely mint condition Broughton Carina Phaser. I bought it on here a few months ago from the original owner who had only had it out of the box once before putting it up for sale to go towards wedding funds. It's then lived in its box in a drawer at my house ever since, as I really have no need for a Phaser, as much as I love the sound - which is absolutely LUSH! Absolutely brand spanking new, no velcro, original box (which I have labelled with a sharpie as it was just completely blank) £150 + postage, or can meet/be picked up in Ickenham/London.

I am going with Nathan unless someone can convince me otherwise!

Perhaps that the secret of their success. I recall that Charlie punched Jagger in the face after he Jagger referred to him as "my drummer". Charlie said he was the Stones drummer and not Micks, and then punched him. I suppose the most famous band mates who hated each other (as far as I know) were Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. Did one of them pull a knife on the other? Someone said the most astonishing thing about Cream was not their music, but the fact they actually made any music at all. Mind you @AndyTravis is providing an awful lot of material for a book or a film. Rob

OK so the criteria is a middle class person can only get involved if the end result is good? So does that include Siouxsie and the Banshees? Would Abel be open to abuse if the words were clumsy and who gets to judge what art is good or not anyway?

I have an old GK amp which needs looking at. Surrey Amps have been recommended, but they are very far away from me. Who is Dennis the Legend?

4-Pos/3-Pole Rotary Switch for two pickup wiring
MartinB replied to Immo's topic in Repairs and Technical
You just mean moving the loudest (serial) position to one end of the switch, right? So that when flicking between settings, you don't have to go "across" the loudest one. -
One of my fave Journey songs.... just stunning Featuring, among other things, Steve Perry's amazing, soulful vocals....Neal Schon's perfect guitar solo (Rick Beato's fave solo too!) and Ross Valory's chorus soaked bass and harmonics....

I bought this preamp because of its features, but it doesn't fit into the small control cavity of my Sandberg VM4. I didn't check before I bought it I've had this in my drawer of parts for a while, and it's not looking like I'm going to be needing it anytime soon, so here it is... This is the 4-knob version, with black knobs. It's designed for 2-pickup basses. The output of each pickup can be adjusted with two internal trim pots, ensuring perfect balance. Semiparametric mids, passive tone control, active/passive switch, bass EQ frequency window is user-adjustable (low bass 20-80Hz, high bass 40-200Hz), flat or pre-shape (slight mid scoop with boosted low/highs) options... Check full specs here: https://www.east-uk.com/product/uni-pre-4-knob/?v=7885444af42e It costs new £220. Selling for £150 including postage within the UK. This has never been installed. I only took it out of the box to take measurements.

I think you rather prove the point made in my final paragraph there.

What are you listening to right now?

Well reminded, I used to play Fire of unknown origin to death, and I haven't heard it in years, so I am giving it another listen! -
Staying friends with band members is tough, in my experience.

I think it must be a 'trading as' situation https://amphospital.co.uk/ Anyway, they are authorised repairers of many leading brands, have an excellent reputation with lots of touring bands and since MJW Amplification ceased trading (retired), it's the only place I trust with my Mesa amps. Dennis the Legend is just too far away for me although his reputation is on a par with Stan.

I was concerned when I got my first Ibanez prestige that it had barts on it, so it wasn't going to sound good - I thought it was a bart thing, but it was night and day different.

Still got mine. Must dig it out again

Just as well the Ukrainian jewish heritage Abel Meeropol had no such qualms or it would never have been written.

I did, I was exagerating, which is an effect people sometimes use in communication for effect. I am sorry I didn't clarify in my post that it was there for effect, I thought it might have been obvious. They could also be wrong*. Funny thing with the licensed barts, you can pick it up, play it, think "oh that sounds alright", then play it at a gig and think, "oh the sound on that gig wasn't good, must be the set up", and continue like this until you realise after a while when you go to pick up a bass to noodle on when there is a choice, the one with the licensed barts isn't the one you are picking up. I dont' know what it is, there are many people out there using them as their only bass and they won't really have a problem until they get something else. I always think ibanez do themseles no favours using them, the amount of times you hear that people like the basses but think the sound is bland or generic and discount them, then play the premium and think it is a much better bass, when it is actually just a prettier bass with better pickups. * note, this is an opinion, not a literal truth.
