    Trying to wean myself off preamps for use at doubling gigs, so I'm listing a couple today. First up is this one: https://www.bassgearmag.com/radial-tonebone-bassbone-v2-pedal/ Famously built like a tank, it's a classic Swiss Army Knife of a pedal which does pretty much everything you're likely to need at a gig. The tone-sculpting allows either seamless switching between DB and electric or two different tones from a single bass, it has no problems handling piezo pickups, it's a great DI box, etc. etc. etc. Original power supply but - to my annoyance - I can't find the original packaging, even though I'm sure that I have it somewhere. 🙁 Condition is flawless & functional, very nearly pristine. That's why it's "very nearly" pristine ... four little patches of removable velcro on the bottom. Apart from that velcro, it's perfect. Everything works exactly as it should.

Original packaging, power supply & manual, as you can see. By its very nature, this isn't a pedal that gets chucked into gig bags and knocked about at gigs, so this is in pristine condition. If there's a mark on it, then I can't find it. Smaller than you'd think, too. These days, I no longer actually own a traditional DB of any sort () so the ToneDexter is getting very little use.

    My eye (yes, I have two. Don't worry...) was caught by the cool looking lever at the top of the bridge - does this amazingly manly bass have a lever that deploys the string mutes? Bet MusicMan wish they'd thought of that before adding those fiddly tiny metal round screws under the bridges of Classic Stingrays. Seriously impressed by the intonation calibration markings on the bridge as well. If Bang & Olufsen made basses, they would make basses like this.

    I am going to put it up for sale. Bass Gallery said £1500. I’d only get £1200 of that so I’m thinking £1350 is a fair basschat price.

    The earth from the neck pickup is normally wired to its pot, but the nature of the metal control plate doesn’t make this an absolute, just so long as it is earthed somewhere. If you don’t access to a meter, disconnect the bridge pickup and wire the neck pickup to that pot to see if the problem goes away (dodgy pot) or remains (dodgy pickup/wiring).

    The wiring is totally correct, assuming there's no grounding issues as it's relying on the metal plate and that the pickups themselves are working. Take that multimeter, check the pickups resistance and the grounding continuity. Then come back with your findings.

    Hi all! Still haven’t been able to sort the issue as have been super busy and using my new 5 string jazz bass primarily on gigs, I opened up the bass today and I think it may be wired wrong from the factory, as I have not touched the wiring since I bought the bass from new, and it doesn’t appear to match up with any diagrams that I have seen online, I have attatched a picture so that those with a little more experience than me can have a look. Does this look right? All the diagrams I have seen suggest that both wires from the neck pickup should go to the neck pickup volume but this is not the case with my bass. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    It's been a few weeks since I started this. Sadly I was hospitalised after a nose op went wrong and I enjoyed the hospitality of Bradford Royal Infirmary for a while. This has not been forgotten though. The design has now been finalised and printed up. Here's some earlier designs. This was rejected as I wanted the control panel area to be a panel to and bottom. This is the latest design, with all four pieces glued in. The frame is very stiff and the glue is as strong as the filament so twisting it to breaking point could be anywhere on the frame, not at the joints. The next steps are lightly sanding down the rough areas. This is printed at 0.2mm height and the fastest speed the Prusa can do. I have sacrificed a little quality for speed, but as the frame will be sanded, filled, sanded, covered,sanded primed, sanded, painted, lightly sanded and then finally multiple coats of a finish, the reduction in quality will not make any difference. I know this because I've tested it. I am aiming to have zero printing lines visible so its indistinguishable from any other type of non FDM finish. It does have the tummy cut at the top but I'll show that later. I'm also trying to do the same design for a bass as well Thanks Rob
