After several years of trial and error, this year I have managed to come up with a fairly consistent line up of pedals that are giving me what I consider my core of my sound. Add-ons take care of specific effects for specific songs. The signal chain is MS60B (which provides a noisegate and tuner functions, as well as any one-off effects - it's currently providing a synth bass patch for one song) > NUX Sculpture compressor > NUX Voodoo Vibe > Ampeg SCRDI. If the signal is going to my amp and speakers, it passes through a Sine HPF set to just over 40hz (and I'll adjust it as necessary on the night). If I'm going straight into the desk, I let the sound engineer handle the HPF duties.

Origin Effects BassRig Ampeg B15 Fliptop recreation

As above. ^ This is exactly how I treat the Bassrig 15, as an always on replacement for a stage amplifier. I always Di and use iem as my backline / monitor system. -
All this talk about Danny Sapko. Perhaps we need to rename this forum to BESHCHAT.

Really impressed with scan.co.uk as they send you a video of your bass being set up before dispatch. That's a first!!

Origin Effects BassRig Ampeg B15 Fliptop recreation

So - caveats and bias first - I have not played the Anagram so can't comment on it or compare to the BassRigs. I have had a BassRig SuperVintage at the end of my board for the past 18 months or so running to front of house / interface from the DI, to the back line from the jack out. Generally it's an "always on" I have also been running it "off" with the cab sim engaged on the DI. I wouldn't worry about an adverse impact on octavers or synths. There will be an impact which may mean that you want to tweak things but in my experience (OC2 / line 6 purple filter modeler / Mastotron / Envelope noises) the impact is generally positive (a bit more focused and consistent a sound - less alarming for the FOH / mix when you kick in a new sound). If you turned up to a gig with your effects and had to use the in-house SVT / 810 - would you be upset? Bootsy and Tim Lefebvre don't seem to be scared about running squelches or "doooh" noises through an SVT. I don't think of the BassRig as a pre-amp or effect - I think of it as an SVT + fridge that fit in a biscuit tin. -

Can’t think it’s good for business behaving like this. Based on the 30 people who expressed an opinion on this thread. 27 wouldn’t have been happy and would have sent it back. (90%) That means on average they will need to ship this bass (and have it returned) 10 times before they find somebody who is happy with it🤷♂️ -

Boss DM-2W analog delay pedal in excellent condition with original box - £200 Now £170 plus p&p (collection welcome too). I’d also trade for an Aguilar Tone Hammer V1 pedal plus cash my way. The pedal has been modified by Time Travel Audio. It is a momentary oscillation mod. The new switch is the bypass switch and the original switch momentarily ramps up the feedback. The side mounted knob 'tunes' how much the feedback happens. The link below is a video of what the modification was based on:

Some time in the 80s, I was offered one for £75. I had a play on it, hated it, and passed on it. That could have been my pension.

Not sure how much I agree with this, we still sell many per year
