Sounds like the BBp34 may be a good option for that Maron P tone. Not sure if the newer pickups sound much different, or how it pairs with flats, but I cant imagine it’s bad.

Yeah, I saw... I can get some roughly "equivalent" Celestion TF1530e for £195 a par, though.

Blue Aran has them listed but with a long lead time for whatever reason.

Several years ago I bought a cheap Gear4Music wireless IEM system (transmitter and receiver plus earphones) to try out IEM before I invested properly. At the time my reason was the same as yours - to be able to hear my vocals. They were plugged in to the headphone out of the PA mixer (which was only handling vocals). I'm still using the same system with an upgraded set of earphones (KZ ZS10s from Amazon) as recommended somewhere in the thread @itu has linked to above. Before wireless, i invested in a Behringer P1 wired headphone amp (with built in limiter) which I had set up in the same way.

Made a new thread before I saw this one so, I'll share here too - this lil guy arrived today. Nice valve drive from NL, will be using it more to just warm up a signal when going direct.

myheadhz started following Reverse delay for Bass?
-
Strange query, but I play in a post-punk group that leads me to generate some strange sounds out of my bass. I want to explore some more strange effects, and I'm looking into getting something with a reverse delay on it. Alot of the info online is quite scattered (and expensive!) though. Does anyone have any suggestions for a budget reverse delay that isn't rubbish? Thanks

Behringer XTouch universal control surface for sale. Motorised faders, LCD scribble strips - ideal for use with a laptop if you have Behringer XR18/X32R etc. I've used this successfully with Reaper, Logic Pro and my old XR18 mixer. It's just not being used now as I tend to do everything on the laptop and for mastering/editing I have a Presonus Faderport. £230 posted? (Sorry about poor pics - it's not as filthy as it looks!)

Warwick Rockbass dual/double bass guitar bag. Quite old, not sure whether this model is still on sale now. It's got some nicks and dings - one on the front pocket and a nick on the side padding - but all zips still work fine. It's been used for storage for the last decade or so and is very dusty in the pics; some of the metalwork has rusted/tarnished. The gaffa around one of the straps is there to make it more comfortable; both shoulder straps are present (the other one is zipped away in its compartment). It's just dust on the inside in the photos. Ideal for storage, and still giggable if you're careful. £50 plus postage?

Have you ever thought your pedals weren't long enough? Have you ever wanted to create a dangerous trip-hazard for your bandmates? Are you tired of having to reach over the pedals at the front to get the ones at the back? If so, this is your lucky day! Feast your eyes on the Pedaltrain Nanomax, the only pedalboard modelled after a dachshund. In used condition - some screw marks where a CIOKS Grip was mounted (I've since sharpied them in!). Comes with softcase. £40 plus postage (could be a bit chunky because of the length [oo-er missus] but I can check before posting).

For sale, my Radial Tonebone Bassbone OD preamp pedal. A two-channel bass preamp with HPF, piezo input for double bass, DI out and switchable overdrive. A great pedal, I used it for years to double on electric and DB. Made it really easy with the dual EQ, switchable HPF, boosted input for the DB and tuner out. I've gone to more separated signal paths now (still via a Radial I/O!) so this is just sitting around not doing anything. Comes with original box, papers, and PSU. NOTE THAT THIS USES A 15v CENTRE POSITIVE PSU so you need the proper power supply or one that can feed it the correct polarity supply. A 'normal' Boss-style PSU won't work and will fry the pedal (as I found out with another one of these - this is the replacement one I bought). Recently PAT-tested too. Has Dual-lock on the bottom. These are now RRP £439! £260 posted.

Not sure how to price this, but here goes: I have a Sushi Box Finally V3 DI for sale. The snag - it is slightly defective. I ordered this on 5 February 2025 and paid about £220 or so (US$275). It arrived a few weeks later and I paid £50.26 in import duty and VAT etc to Mr Royal Mail. https://www.sushiboxfx.com/product/finally-v3/ It sounds amazing, does exactly what I wanted it to do. It gives a lovely warm fatness to the tone - since I started using it, I've had a lot of compliments from non-bassists about the sound. It is a tube DI using a 12AU7 valve, and includes a variable switchable HPF from 30 - 120Hz. There is an issue with the HPF circuit on this particular pedal, which means when it's in use, it becomes microphonic, in the same way a defective valve does. At first I thought it was the valve, but after testing it became clear it was an issue with the HPF. That meant it didn't work for me, as I had it on a board because I need to do lots of effects and input changing, and every time I pressed anything on the board, it thumped through the amp etc. However, if you're using it in a situation where it's not on a pedalboard, or it's an 'always on' pedal sat on your amp , or in the studio, you won't notice it. You can also switch off the HPF, and use it just as a valve DI. It's possible to switch out the valve for a more aggressive one, giving you saturated overdrive tones if wanted. So - it works, it's just a bit noisy if you touch the chassis when the HPF is engaged. Has Dual-lock on the bottom. I'll start at £250 posted but happy to listen to offers.

5.7ibs. that's no weight at all. Do you even notice you have a bass on ? 😂 Just curious but does it being that lightweight affect the tone at all ? Dave
