  3. Funnily enough, if I had to choose a fake, I'd pick the one on left due to the misaligned digits.
  4. I guess you meant how much would I pay for this? Hard to tell has I would need more data, more detailed photos and check this neck a lot more.
  5. All good thanks Steve. Still got the Ultra Jazz, got tempted to swap it for something with a bit more of a subtle finish, but so glad I kept it. recorded with it recently and it sounds brilliant. Hope you are good too.
  6. Yes, I thought that. Might be trick of the light tho.
  7. I am going to try and pop in tomorrow.
  8. Thanks for the welcome!
  9. OK, I put other strings...
  10. Yamaha Motion MB – III medium scale bass Had this little bass on offer a few months ago but ended up keeping it as I needed a bass for a gig that involved flying (it fits in a guitar gigbag). Really great bass for the money with a big sound and easy on the shoulders. · Body: Basswood · Neck: Maple · Fingerboard: Rosewood · Pick up: Humbucker (Passive) · Neck joint: Bolt-On · Nut width: 39mm · Number of frets: 24F · Weight: ≈ 3.5kg · Control part: 2 Volume / 1 Tone · Scale: 32" / 813mm (Medium Scale) Its from 1988 so it does have some marks here and there but nothing too bad. Everything works great and the frets are really well dressed. Can take a very low action. Its strung up with medium scale Thomastik Jazz Flatwounds that are a great match, it kicks butt! Can ship anywhere in Europe. Price is 400 Euros. If you have any question, just PM me. Thanks!

  11. Thanks for this, that's very useful info 👍
  12. Welcome BTB
  13. The font on OPs photos looks heavier and deeper
  14. What do you do with an amp that doesn't have one? That's right. Turn up the knobs you're used to and play using your ears like normal. Who takes any notice of a flickering needle anyway at any point? I like Ashdown gear but tbh its just another gimmIck to worry about. Just ignore it and play, bro.
  15. Some might question the wisdom bit... fingers crossed
  16. Great! Very helpful. How much you pay for this?
  17. These are excellent drop in replacements for Sire basses btw
  18. Everything above is correct. The pots are 80's Japanase models, wires are a mix of American and Japanese. The decal over the nitrocellulosic varnish is period correct, but is missing the model name and patent numbers look like gone... The stamp on the neck has the right font for that period with the larger bar on the right part of the A. The fingerboard wood must be Brazilian rosewood, but it really looks like Indian rosewood, which was used later. The pickups are period correct (wire type, grey bottom, no stamp). I won't repeat what others already said, so read it again as everything is right. I definitely need more high definition photos to go further...
  19. two wireless microphones, brand new never used i have 2 sets of these to go cheap for just 28 a pair ! £40 on amazon these are prity god to be fair. nice and clear, and both go to single jack receiver collection from the wirral or can post for 4.99 first class only
  20. I would think so, they are the same scale length. I don't know for certain though...
  21. To paraphrase Sir Bob: You gaze into the doorway Of temptation's angry flame And every time you pass that way You'll always hear your name... (and I could be in Manchester some time soon...)
  22. eBay, I think. I measured the distance between the strap button and the top of the bass, then from that edge to the bridge. I think it was for a guitar, but it works perfectly...
  23. Been a bit busy this week and forgot to put a few up with Flabba on bass, it was his 75th birthday the other day and he’s still going strong, such a great player with exceptional timing , there’s so many to choose from so here’s a few, police in helicopter is probably one of my favourites, do you have any?
