  2. She’s popped up on my YT feed a fair bit recently. Great player, who, to my ears, has a real Vinnie Colaiuta vibe to her technique and sound. She’s also played with Jeff Beck and Lari Basilio, both of whom have used Vinnie in the past, so perhaps it’s not just me. It’ll be interesting to hear what she brings to the table with Rush, outside of those essential, Peart fills. I reckon it’ll be great.

  4. Next month i will have the chance to see Hiromi's sonic Wonder at 45 minuts driving from home. I'm an absolue fan of this band from Hiromi and can't wait to live this moment.
  5. Boosting your signal before you go into the amp is different than cracking the gain on your amp. Listen though, I’m not in the business of persuading people to buy this, that’s for Xotic to do. I’ve made a review video. If you want to find out more, watch my video then try the pedal out in a store and let your ears the guide. If it’s not for you, cool - it’s just an option.
  6. Price Drop To £325

  13. sorry for the delay - yes its Bill Nash signature - think he does it on all his instruments. I'm in Rochester in Kent, but in Central London for most shows most days if that's useful. Cheers
  14. Is there anywhere on the internet which provides a documented informative timeline/history/details of the Ampeg SVT, V4B or B15? I'm interested in these amps, but an understanding of them eludes me just as much as the Musicman Stingray! Rob
  15. Bought new in 2025, in very good condition with original packaging, barely used. Velcro on bottom. UK only. Price Includes Postage
  16. Smokestack Lightning - Howlin' Wolf
  17. I quite like it, but then I like a lot of those odd looking Soviet Union era guitars and basses. This looks like it could be a Danelectro Longhorn copy made in Yugoslavia circa 1974.
  18. So in the past I was in a couple of funkier bands The 602 Flying Oceans The latter of which broke up when the singer and I had a huge difference of opinion… Anyhow, time heals. I’m very proud of those 2 ep’s. Both bands only managed a gig apiece. A real shame. So 2025 - I had an idea knocking about - and I knew it would suit his vocal style massively and in the spirit of being current here’s a ChatGPT review… ”A brooding slice of indie reflection, “The Right Year” finds Matt Ashworth balancing regret and resilience over a quietly magnetic rhythm section. The bassline hums with tension — a low, determined pulse that drives the track forward beneath shimmering guitars and a weary, honest vocal. It’s part confession, part catharsis; a late-night walk through memory and possibility. The production is clean and restrained, maybe too polite at times, but Ashworth’s emotional control keeps you hooked. Thoughtful, unhurried and quietly cinematic — this might not be the right year, but it’s a promising one for Ashworth.” https://on.soundcloud.com/vPPOIozFot1ocAdIHI
  19. Reminds me slightly of a Attila Balogh Odyssey bass - might be the Canadian link.
  20. Boxed. Hardly used so pretty much as new except for Velcro on the base. In original packaging. UK only and Price includes Postage
  21. Depends on the EQ notches of your amp. My SBP2 does something that neither my amp or VTDI do. Plus there’s the buffering element.
  22. Hipshot Ultralite tuners 3 piece maple neck. 42mm (?) Ash body, walnut stained Truss rod access at base of neck 3 band EQ Vol/blend/selector switch Through body stringing Weight around 8 1/2 lbs Bought this on here not too long ago because I wanted to investigate the Stingray sound, and I really rate Ibanez stuff... Selling it because I've proved to myself that I don't actually like the Stingray sound! (sorry everybody...) This bass justifies the 'Stingray killer' tag, in my opinion, because of the tonal variety in the pickups - the back pickup has 3 positions, all useful. The 'north' side is my favourite, I think it's likely the same place as a Rickenbacker bridge pickup? Anyway, the 2 pickups, bridge pickup switching, and 3 band EQ mean tremendous tonal variety. As the pictures show, it's definitely a player's bass, worn in all the right places... Comes in the excellent Ibanez premium hard/soft case, as pictured.

  24. The Ink in the Well was also my introduction to DT back in the 80s and I have never heard any other player since get close to that characteristic mix of air, power and string vibration on the board. Very funny and self effacing guy too
  25. Theres a variant of the 434 that looks like an Ibanez Musician. Very nice.
  26. I'd say medium. I've not weighed it but manual says it's 52lbs.
