*PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE * Wicked pedal! Tracks beautifully. Only selling as I’m now using multi-effect unit. In great condition (I may even have original box…can’t find at the moment m). Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.

yes rush will always be rush ...but my point was that for me they had lost their edge ..it was now rush minus the mojo.

Led Zeppelin, Yes, The Police, Genesis, Tolkien, Dylan Thomas, wandering around London, synths, whatever; it just makes up for an interesting and enlightening experience. I saw King Crimson when they did some shows as Discipline.

Really digging Anders Jormin tonight. A real antidote to the sliding harmonics brigade, with their array of sound controllers. Jaco was brilliant, a real revolutionary, but his influence is reaching a dead end - not his fault. I was in a conversation with a student of composition at an English University, and he was moaning that the composition teachers were more interested in texture than ideas. Similar situation. Give me an acoustic instrument like a DB or acoustic guitar. There’s a resonance that really reaches places electric instruments cannot reach. I know: what do I know 🤪 Each to their own. 😀

Sort of the other way round for me - they evolved and matured over time. They were influenced by a number of bands over their career but remained Rush identifiably and unquestionably.

Kev started following Wal spotting.

Sometimes I miss my Wal MK2. Sounded incredible, looked fantastic. But it was one of the most uncomfortable basses I've ever played. Horrible neck profile, horrible pickup thumb anchoring, horrible distance between strings and body. If I was rich enough to order one, I'd change almost everything about it (though I think the 5 string version solves a lot of it), but the sound is my favourite raw bass sound by a country mile. For the price? Nah, they're just daft now, and many owners are toxic AF about protecting their value as well (the FB group was a horrid place when I left), I've heard of some actively messaging people selling Wals "cheaply" to tell them to ask for more, so as not to damage their investment. It's a very shrewd move to continue to refuse to sell the electrics separately, as without that exclusivity, I don't think the market would be there.

i think rush at some point early eighties must have crossed paths with king crimson just long enough for the spirit to jump ship ... crimson were on fire early 80s.
