Hoptonmills started following Disappointing new bass day...I would appreciate some opinions.

Best wishes, Hz :). I would still recommend keeping one bass behind, just in case. Stopping gigging doesn't mean that you can't make your own music by yourself with your bass and piano.
-
Great vibe, is it 'Captain Scarlet' inspired?
-
And finally, my entry for "bass face of the bash" is...
-
I set out with the intention of photographing every bass I played, but I got sidetracked...
-
Good for you, man. As long as you're happy and enjoying your music on whatever instrument

Came here to post this 😂

Because it also helps the wound to cure a bit, and because there could also be some for sale ads that will so have an instant answer and not letting people in the wild for my act. That said, as some mentioned, the left hand plays the bass part on piano, so all I acquired is useful as well as tempo and sight reading. Anyway thanks for all the comments and they all are positive to me.

For sale, My Tecamp 4x10 cab in very good used condition and perfect working order. I have been using this for a good while but its not getting the use now sadly. Super punchy sound and capable of handling some serious volume. Adjustable tweeter hidden inside the carry handle to limit accidents! Gives an added versatility to this already great cab. light for a full size 4x10, 30kg according to the manual. Front ported, with a very strong metal grill and excellent build quality round off this German made belter. Additional items in picture 2 are for size reference only. Although the Tecamp 1x15 is coordinating sale separately on this very site. Postage possible at a push please pm to discuss. Cheers.

Picked this up on here a couple of years ago with an idea in mind, but never ended up using it. It’s been sat in drawer all that time. Condition is fair. It has a few scratches and the box is very tatty, but it’s fully functional. I paid £50 and am hoping to get my money back. Will include postage for that price.

Choice between Warwick Pro Fet 3.1 and Ashdown RM 800 Evo - Help Needed
djk replied to djk's topic in Amps and Cabs
It looks like a clean sweep for the Ashdown, which was my thought. Hopefully there's no problems either way with the exchange. -

The Brutal Truth About Owning Big Boxes of Bottles My 400+ has been in The Amp Hospital in Guildford. It costs £84 for an inspection and diagnosis. Then you get a full report and a quotation. Small repairs are done within the £84. Here's the quotation for the work. Note that there's no valve replacement in this cost. You can buy a very good high end used solid state or Class D amp for £454.80 i.e. the £84 plus the repair charge. Slipknot sends its 400+ amps to the same place. The work and knowledge of Mesa products is what you pay for. I'm sure that I could get it done cheaper but this is a relic and it needs the TLC that Surrey Amps gives. One thing is for sure now, this thing is going out gigging to earn its keep. The point of this post is, just understand what you're getting into before adopting one of these beasts. @Beedster @agedhorsefor interest, Chris, Andy😉

Since posting the above the quotation came in. My advice to anyone getting misty eyed about valves goodness is, understand that, like cars, they have servicing costs.
