I saw a YouTube clip of the Okko Motorbass, as well as full on Lemmy it looks like it can do a pretty decent low-level drive.

I don’t know why, as I used one as a provided amp at a gig and really liked it. Maybe people are wary, following the SVT 7-PRO and PF500 issues? Shame, was a really good sound, just tweaked eq slightly on line check and away I went.

Not easy to source but found some on EBay

An old fart like me remembers hifi stuff that were equipped with tone defeat switches. The only thing was that there usually was something hidden behind that switch, like bass boost. Flat, what is a flat response if it wasn't measured? Even better, could the system (amp&cab) be equalized to flattest possible? I belong to the group of people that wants the electronics of the bass to be lo-Z and adjustable (if not transparent). Hi-Z electronics usually colour the sound and cut highs so much.

Barely a year ago the For Sale section was full of amps and only two ads for cabs on the first four pages. It's just a coincidence.

My final foray into modelling/digital rigs (for now)... this has been my favourite but that world is just not for me. Used for 3 shows and well looked after! Comes with a far tougher power supply (original included). Price includes UK shipping, collection welcome or I may well be coming near you! The only thing i'd consider in trade at the moment is an Ashdown CTM30 as i miss mine dearly!

I'm using Labella Flats on my 71 Jazz , very smooth I never tried the old Sadowsky Blue flats but I have a New set on my Tobias and very good indeed I liked GHS flats on a fretless Jazz I had.

The Yamaha is half the price of the Bose . lighter and louder by a noticeable amount . There is a BTR model that has a battery included so can run without mains . About another £60 . It has a yamaha bag available or aftermarket from Terralec . I bought aftermarket for £20 and it fits perfectly .

I hadn't consciously noticed this but I've been combing the classifieds for a while now and it checks out! I'm actually on the lookout for some cabs myself since my rehearsal space has two mismatched and rather knackered old boxes, a Warwick 4x10 and a Laney 1x15 and one of them is definitely blown since it makes an odd farty sound when I play hard with my distortion pedal on. It's a buyer's market these days it seems! Especially if you're not so bothered about lugging around heavy gear - my 90s Peavey head is heavy enough as is! Plus most venues we get offered to play have their own cabs these days.

Hey @simondee we had a similar problem, no one having used IEMs as a band, so we came up with this simple solution * a single mixer/splitter box (2 x vocal mics, 2 x drum mics, guitar, bass) outputting a common stereo mix * a single multi-headphone amp, outputting the same mix, but everyone controls their own volume We added individual headphone amps to each person (£15) so they can add "more of me". More here......

I had a Rivoli , and regret selling it . I have a big orange 5123B , with TVJones pickups. It has a deep woody tone that is rich and articulate. Best sounding hollow body I’ve found.
