The only other bass it could be is a Hagstrom?

It does look a bit like a Hagstrom although I've only ever seen them in that cherry red finish. The configuartion of volume / tone knobs is wrong though. Hagstrom did a Fender type headstock on the 604 though - see below

Can I have half marks for spotting the guitarists were using a Gibson les Paul and a Fender Telecaster?

I worked with him for a while, good musician ( and an Albert Lee fan)
I'll ask him about that bass next time I see him, though knowing him, it will most likley be a borrowed one.

Johns playing bass.
Martin changed a LOT towards the end, but I'm pretty sure here not on the clip shown.
