I used to back a Sheryl Crow tribute and bought one of these for when Shezza took the bass reins 'cause it looked the part (Crow uses a Guild M85). It was actually a really lovely bass that I totally wish I still had. Light as a feather, great tone and easy playing plus it looks fantastic. markytbass Posted November 23, 2007 Share Posted November 23, 2007 My wife (who's about 5feet tall) has an Ibanez EDB550. The body is smaller than most and the neck is nice and slim. She had always struggled with most designes of bass due to either the body being too large or the neck too fat. A friend of mine has a few full sized basses but chooses to use a Samick Corsair MCR1 small bass for gigs. Linus27 Posted January 30, 2008 Author Share Posted January 30, 2008 Just want to give an update on this. I bought from GreeneKing one of his Bass Collection basses and all I can say is WOW. A superb bass, in mint condition with incredible sound and beautifully set up. Thanks you GreeneKing . More importantly, my wife adores the bass and keeps picking it up to practice and play. She is pretty shy and would not play infront of me but she picked it up the other day in front of me and started to tinker on it. So her confidence level has increased which is a very good thing. She is also saying that she can do things on it that she was struggling to do on my Fender's like using her little finger to reach frets. Plus she is beginning to rememeber where notes are.
