pantherairsoft
Some live vid from last nights show in Bolton. The bass has not come out great, although in traditional YouTube style, the worse your speaker the better it sounds!! Good home stereo out, laptop speakers in! Some of the above were tracks we had written, most of it was improvised on the spot though. The gig was a bit mental as our 30-40 minute support slot turned into and hour an a quarter of mayhem. 1st time, as a support band that we've had an encore! xgsjx
Quality stuff Si. Did you get that from Organic Bass Wobble (facebook page)? I'm sure it was Nathan Navarro who posted it (I think it's his band, though I could be wrong). Something different... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDIl5bOAkz8&feature=related
Sibob
I got sent the video, just off youtube, don't know about that facebook group. It is Nathan Navarro, he's a ridiculous player! Si
xgsjx
Talking about Navarro, I believe in that video on the previous page he's using a ME-20B & the BEF. He's not gotten back to me (though he might have missed my post).
callingltu
Anyone tried line6 fm4 for dubstep? Any good? I'm thinking of buying it, i found it for 80punds. So would it do the job? I would put lots of pedals before it, like octaver, synths, fuzz etc. I want that massive wobble and lo pass filter tones like moog mf101. Of course I'm buying bef pro + hot hand in the future, but dont have enough money for that now
callingltu
anyone?
pantherairsoft
I think you'd be better saving up and getting the MF-101 or saving for the BEF. I have had a play with one, an I know a few bassists that own them, but it doesn't cut it for me where solid bass envelopes am filters are concerned. The Line6 M9 does it better, plus loads more besides.
callingltu
I thought that m9 has exacly same filters as fm4
pantherairsoft
Really!? They sound pretty different to me...
callingltu
I just saw add, that m series includes all filter factory, distortion factory etc. effects
pantherairsoft
Maybe it sounds bigger in the M9 as its after the M9 EQ section, allowing you to beef it up and tailor it more to bass. The FM4 just always sounds 'thin' to me. One mans hate is another mans love though...
callingltu
True true. Well if i find where i'll try it tout
xgsjx
For the same price as the FM4, you could get a 2nd hand BEF. One recently sold on here for £75.
Ant
im liking the look of that BEF with the hot hand, might have to snag one before i go into the studio in december, we have the odd wobble in a couple of our songs but i'd like to add some more, but the Boss SYB5 just isnt good enough for a quick on the fly wobble. pantherairsoft
Moogerfooger Cluster Flix arrived today. D&B players dream. The videos don't how half of what this can do. Contender for best pedal I've owned - YES! Video footage coming this week. Amazing bit of kit.

pantherairsoft
I use the MP-201 to create similar LFO's into my Low Pass Filter. It's a pretty sweet homemade bit of kit to be honest
