New amp

Looking at buying a new amp around the £1000 mark....light weight 800watts minimum, what would you guys recommend?

Awesome amp excellent dual compressors and tons of head room 

 

Not exactly heavy but not a lightweight amp either really 

 

EICH T900 is amazing too and that’s very light

At bang on £1000 and 800 watts, the Mesa 800D is certainly a contender.

IMO Aguilar amps take some beating, I've been playing them for over 10 years now, but my replacement list would include Mesa Boogie 800D, Bergantino Forte HP2 and Genzler.

And it looks like they’ve just got a makeover and are now the RBM series.

As the successor to the Tecamp Puma 900, the Eich T900 would get my vote.

Another vote for the Eich T-900, I've only had a couple of hours of practice with mine but it's impressive and will be seeing my Markbass out of the door.
