October Composition Challenge

A pinch and a punch for the first of the month , well a round of applause and a pat on the back maybe for both @Chiliwailer and @Wolfram , tied winners  in September with superb compositions. 

 

Well, onwards and upwards, so to get those itchy fingers back to the instruments , Wolfram has supplied the following for your inspiration.

 

"I glimpsed this ad on the Underground a while back - I was previously unaware that 'non-toxic' was a key selling point for an air fryer! Let's hear your ad jingles, weird and wonderful product endorsements, or songs about air fryers 😆."

 

 

 

✅ Entries must be <5 minutes and recorded between now and the deadline.

❌ No illegal samples, copyright infringements or other snide goings-on

❌ No Bagpipes, Please, I think they would suffer from the tubular reverberation and sound a bit off.

❌ No voting for your own entry. We'll know. And we'll shame you..

 

Deadline-wise, we will go for Midnight on the 25th September ... Which really means the last day of summertime , dark nights and closed neighbours windows , thus I can sing as loud as I like 

 

A line or two of blurb as usual for the vote thread will be super duper smashing lovely.

Wow, someone has beaten @Baloney Balderdash to the first tune posted!  

 

If 6 was 1  - You won't catch me singing, so because the Air Fryer poster said it's '6 in 1' I decided to do a little jingle in 6 styles.

Ok, so here's my contribution, had some issues transposing this month's image into musical ideas, hence the title, but since it is October, the Halloween-ish spin on this happens to fit well :

 

Single track 1st take recording, played on my 28.6" scale 5 string Ibanez GSRM25 Mikro Bass, tuned to E standard tuning, recorded through my "amp-less" setup, directly into my Zoom H4n handheld recorder, only edited using a simple Wav editor.

I done a small one!

This is a funky little groove about the voices telling you what to buy and how it will improve your entire being.

 

 

Gear is Wal bass with old strings straight into focusrite and PC, double tracked with 2nd track adding some Raum reverb. Drums are programmed in EZ Drummer, guitar is a Strat, keys are from Isis sounds. All rolled in Neutron 3 and Ozone 9.

I just edited the post having replaced the track with a remastered version containing Bassroom and Mixroom... Hopefully should work now!

Indeed it does, and only too well; I've just ordered a folding caravan, four disco balls and a couple of pairs of fake zebra-skin running shoes.
