dmc79 Posted Sunday at 18:21 Posted Sunday at 18:21 (edited) I’ve always done restringing on a sofa and balanced the neck over the end armrest, but every time I see someone doing a ‘proper’ restringing / setup on YouTube the bass is properly stabilised on a table with the neck on some sort of cradle, so I’m thinking of getting one. Just wondering what type people use, I haven’t looked into this in much depth, but so far I can see the solid block type, a folding Hercules one, and the Fender ‘Arch’ one, which handily comes with its own case and tray for putting bits on whilst working. Can anyone recommend any of these or anything else that’s out there? Thanks Edited Sunday at 18:25 by dmc79 Quote
Matt P Posted Sunday at 18:42 Posted Sunday at 18:42 i went for a cheap option and threw a harley benton one into a Thomman order, works great though and as i also work on acoustics the 2 different heights are useful This One Matt 1 Quote
Hellzero Posted Sunday at 19:31 Posted Sunday at 19:31 I'm using this model since so many years and as it's rocking you can put it anywhere under the neck, it will always fit perfectly: https://guitarsandwoods.com/guitar-neck-rest.html 1 Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted Sunday at 22:47 Posted Sunday at 22:47 My brother gave me a block-type one at Christmas. I think it was to make sure I don't break the headstock of any of his Gibsons when tiddling about in their internals. 1 Quote
