I’m going to buy my dog a new precision. She showed some interest in a photo, maybe she’ll manage to get a sound out of it if I wedge a dog chew between the strings and then I’ll have a free pass on that purchase

🤔

Another tier 2 fail - new tailpiece for the guitar shown, plus a new guitar pickup. Still no new bass purchases, though.

How do the jury feel About “filth” like this ?
tier2 fail on the pickup, bridges aren’t signal path so I think you’re home Free on that one

The bridge is part of the vibrating structures of the instrument, tansmitting and receiving vibrations and resonances between the strings and the body which contribute to the overall sound which will be detected by the pickup. So it is in the path betwen the player's fingers and the listeners' ears and replacing a non-failing bridge on a bass ought to be a T1 fail.

On a guitar it's T2 as is the whole instrument.

Well that's my view anyway.

I’m going to be out , just waiting to get the shipping costs and final bill. These have been on my radar for quite some time. This is the Korean reissue , improved tuners and set neck. Thumpy as all heck. I have too much stuff , but I’ve been looking at these for years. Finally will be getting one.

Just found this thread. Bought 2 basses and a neck in 2025. Might have to try in 2026.

You’re fitting in very well 👍

I only bought one thing this year (see above) and unwittingly assisted lee650 by doing so. (.  👍)

Having bought exactly nothing in 15 years I feel pretty good about my mean abstinence rate when factored in over a lifetime. That one purchase was therefore a statistical blip and not significant in statistical terms.
I therefore feel a prince Andrew style entitlement to reinstatement (despite the actual facts) - strange parallel there 🧐

I mean there was a 10 year period when I was not playing at all, did not even own an instrument. Are you saying it's possible to factor that in for the averages? Already feeling better!

I cannot. It comes from being shot with a camera - the verb induces the condition
