Looking forward to checking it out, how have they implemented it??  Its a very graphical plugin, which I can't imagine has carried over?

Surprisingly, it has! Pretty much identical interface

Big update to QC - mostly in the free devices department. Lots of bass stuff in the update which is nice to see, inlcluding:

New SVT Captures

New Markbass Captures

Aguilar Octamizer

Mono Synth

More bass cab IRs

Big change in the way the captures work too (V2). A bit like the Helix Stadium, these are done in the cloud on a bigger machine and apparently appear to allow the capture of things like compressors(?!). Included in the capture list are the Cali76 (32 captures) and the DarkGlass Super Symmetry (7 captures)

The new SVT models are killer and the new cab IRs are much more characterful, much like the best of the 3rd party captures that you can find on the cloud.

The GED2112 models are cracking too, I had the pre-amp for a while, really captures the tone well.

Looks like a very good update all round but I do wonder at the significant DSP overheads of these new models, even in a unit with processing to burn.

Yeah you can't stack too many on any particular pair of rows without it having a moan at you

I’m borrowing my guitar player’s nano cortex. Where do I find the bass IR’s - did a search on the NDSP guys but not seeing bass cab ir’s. It’s showing me everything else.

I entirely blame user error on this

I have updated the app etc.

Any guidance appreciated.

The new bass cabs should just be in the devices i.e. the cab block (I assume those are available on the nano cortex?)

Is there any more detail about how V2 is able to capture compressors?  Kean to try it out when I get chance, there's a bunch of Cali 76 captures, but can't get my head around how it may work??

yeah had a look but nothing came up when I filtered for bass and cabs

I scrolled over a post by Neural Amp Modeller's creator Steve 'Ack' Atkinson earlier and he'd had some links to how Neural Modelling has been able to capture compression and tremelo effects previously. He congratulated the NDSP team for being able to package the technology - it's exciting times if but mind boggling! I used to think that stem splitting would be near impossible but it's getting better with every new update. Exciting times indeed! I've loaded the OS update and, when I have some time free from recording and editing a top secret video for a new product release, I'll be putting QC through its paces!

Yeah I can't say how it works, but it definitely appears to work! It also turns out I "like" the settings I think I should like. I scrolled through the Cali76 captures until I found one I liked (no.29). When I saw that on CortexCloud they had annotated the captures with their settings, I went out to find a fast release/slow attack at a 4:1 ratio. Which capture was it? No. 29!

Always a good sign!

I think that's the setting I like as well, so I'll hunt out that one, ta!

I like the idea of having a compressor block that doesn't have any of the variables available to adjust, so I can't be tempted to mess with it.  So if it works, brilliant stuff!

I read on some of the Neural DSP forums that you have to delete and reload the app for the new V2 captures to appear
