PatrickJ
very nice! I had a Godin electric guitar for a long time, I loved it!
GuyR
Lovely looking bass. Godins are excellent value. I have an A5 which has the perfect neck profile for me and a flat ish fingerboard. What is the neck profile like on this?
Reggaebass
Yeah very nice teebs, there’s not one thing about it I don’t like, I’m curious as to how it sounds 🙂
Teebs
Thanks GuyR. The neck profile is very similar to the 'C' shape on my Jazz - maybe a wee bit skinnier. Godin describes it as 'Series Standard', which tells you precisely naff all! With the satin finish, it's very comfortable. 12" radius on the fretboard. From the brief time I've had to play it it's very quick & easy to play.

To my ears, the bass has a round tone with a bit of growl soloing the neck (P) pup, the J pup soloed has a much more thin & toppy sound as you'd expect. The tone selector gives you the choice of both pups in series or parallel. In series, there's a lovely punchy tone with plenty of depth. However, in parallel is for me where this bass comes to life. Very growly, deep sound with a bit of top-end presence, and a darkness to the sound which I love. Very pleased 1
Bigguy2017
Does the small chrome plate on the back hide the truss rod adjuster (wheel)?
Cuzzie
Great score - I nearly had a Godin Shifter - 3 pick up one - won the auction, seller refused to sell to me despite being no reserve price - oh well - always liked Em and my guitarist had one, lovely instruments

I haven't taken a screwdriver to it yet Can't see anything in the blurb, but I think you're right, it probably is for the adjuster. I'll report back when I've found out 👍 Edited March 23, 2021 by Teebs
Jonse
Always rated Canadian stuff; Godin, Traynor, Diamond etc... A Godin shifter has sat in my local music shop the last couple of years. I've been eyeing it up recently but haven't taken the plunge yet.
