I was awake and everything, doesn’t seem real (no doubt, a good proportion of that time was spent on BC!). Lovely photo of you two @AndyTravis teen years incoming! Have fun with that 1 Quote

Rich Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Watching a son get married is comparatively easy. Giving my daughter away, when/if it happens, will be different. I shall be an emotional wreck. Quote

Giving my daughter away, when/if it happens, will be different. I shall be an emotional wreck. I’ve got 3 daughters… when Ella moves on with a partner, I’ll be wounded - very typical dad of daughter, I will cry like a wounded dog. Iris (youngest) - I will be proud, sad and protective. Will wave her off with a tear in my eye. Maggie (middle, currently 5) - I’m not saving for her wedding, I’m saving for Bail money. She’s a psycho. When my lad comes up with someone daft enough to marry him, I’ll have a party 😂😉 (not really) Edited August 1, 2021 by AndyTravis 2 Quote

AndyTravis Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Here we are. 16 years on… She’s completed her GCSE’s, she’s not playing as much bass 😔 But she’s on the stage acting… We went to her show close last night. She’s bloody ace. Edited 18 hours ago by AndyTravis 12 2 Quote
Skybone Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Time marches on. Our two turned 18 this year, and have both passed their driving tests, so we see even less of them! One is off to Uni in September, the other is back to college on a music course and being in as many bands as he can (drummer). More importantly, they've turned into decent people. You must be immensely proud of all your kids @AndyTravis. 1 Quote

Just makes me chuckle that Ell’a birthday is also my Basschat anniversary too 😆 2 Quote

This reminds me to call my offspring (we text a lot, but don’t chat much and she’s at the other end of the UK), I’ve been worried about her lately, she lives alone (cat notwithstanding) and hasn’t been involved with anyone for ages (at least to my knowledge), apparently, at her age, “They’re all mental, Dad,” and she can’t be doing with their shenanigans/baggage. 1 Quote
