SOLD PENDING THE USUAL

Only bought this recently but it`s not going to see any action due to the current carry on and I`m trying to downsize and concentrate on things that I need.

It`s in great condition as you can see from the photographs, almost like new. There are 4 or 5 very small marks on the scratchplate that you can see in photo 1, they were there when I removed the plastic film. They are very minor and can only be seen when you tilt the bass into the light. Apart from that anything else is dust.

It weighs 4.1 kg or just over 9 lb`s. I fitted brand new D`addario nickles when I got the bass and as it`s hardly had any playing time, these are like new. It is currently strung through the body. It will come with the rather smart Yamaha gig bag, booklet and allen keys.

I`m looking for £530 delivered UK mainland only, bank transfer or paypal you pay the fees. You can collect with all the usual social guidance stuff taken into account.

I got my first Yamaha a couple of weeks ago (in exchange for an Ibanez six string bass) and wasn't at all sure what to expect.

Turned out to be a PJ like this one, with a really good strong sound. I'd have this if I had any money or space left!

Nice bass.

Re. the scratch-plate, are you sure there is not a second film that you have not removed?

It kinda looks like film is still on it, leave it on though as it'll be a great selling point.

  • 2 weeks later...

The one and only price drop. It might even go back up in price if I come to my senses

£500 delivered,  £480 collect.

Yeah a 734 in almost new condition for the price of a 434!

Buy it, play it for a while and get your money back on it.

Buy it before I change me mind mmmhhhhaaa!!!

Do you know what the neck profile is like compared to the old 424s/1024s etc. 424s I find a little bit deep front to back but I heard these may be a bit slimmer.

Cheers

I have owned the other 2 you mention but can`t really remember them being deep front to back but I will dig the bass out, take a measurement and a photo and get back to you.

Just measured the size of the neck at the first fret and it`s round about 25mm from top of the board to the back of the neck.

I would say the neck feels between a Jazz and a P bass in my hand.
