cetera
A friend of mine at work has the following for sale: A lefty 'Shergold Marathon Stereo' Bass in black with maple neck/board. Apparently, he bought it off of a mate of his in 1982 and believes it was previously bought new in 1979/80. Condition is good 'used' with light player wear and the normal finish checking found on Shergolds. Bass comes with a soft gig bag. He's looking for £250 (collection from London) Edited March 18, 2009 by cetera

Rumple
Am I stupid to ask what a stereo bass does?
I had a fretless one of these many moons ago and wish I had kept it. The top two stings go out of one socket and the bottom two out of the other one, if you just plug a single jack in it works like a normal output. R. Marlat
Do da bump...
There is a girl on Talkbass.com, Fassa Albrect, who was after a left Shergold. You may want to consider PM'ing her there as she may be interested. However, I am not vouching for her as a buyer, just that she is mad about Shergolds (and may puke on it if she buys it). Sean.Robinson
might be worth selling it to the musicground, their resident 'expert' recons they have a resale value of £1000 so i would have thought theyd easily offer you the £250. very nice looking bass btw!
