Well that was a mistake

In a period of considerable financial hardship some years ago, I considered putting my beloved Wal up for sale. I took it out of its gigbag, looked at it, picked it up, played it, put it back down, looked at it again, and said out loud to myself, "For fck's sake man, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?". Decided that I would probably sell a kidney first.

I recently sold a Precision that I really didn’t want to, but I wasn’t using it in my band and I’ve come round to the viewpoint that I’ll only have gear I’ll use with the band. Must admit I was gutted when I gave it a last play, it was a great bass.

Losing a bass this weekend. Did the decent thing and gave it a run through to ensure all was well.

Oh god what a beautiful neck. Oh my what a gorgeous sound. Oh hell what was I thinking. etc etc etc

What's the bass?

I did this with a Lakland once.  It wasn't an expensive instrument but was what I considered my first proper bass and had an amazing spalted maple top.   I still regret selling it.

It's a Fender jazz. In fairness I'm trading it so NBD ought to assuage my grief!
