Thats a really good tone,light flange,compressed a little,a real space filler.

Of course you aint ment to hear it isolated, great Bass often sounds utter sh*t as an isolated track,I think this was a good era in Ged's tone, one that he returned to on Counterparts I believe.

Really good to hear it in isolation, interesting that tonally it doesn't sound the way you would expect when you hear it in the mix. Also a good illustration of how straightforward a lot of his parts actually are - but also how it's all in the detail.

Another enthusiast, in case you hadn't guessed. :)

Great, innit?

the track was isolated from Pop Band, or Rock Star or one of them new-fangled computer games. There's also isolated vocal & drum tracks up there, too.

This, for me, is the pinnacle of Geddy's tone. And he's had a few great ones.

His tone on the new S&A Live DVD is back in this area, after the fizzy messes of the last few DVDs and CDs.

Geddy's tone on that track is awesome! I like it a lot .

Maybe a good Idea for a new thread?
