I'd like to see that with a cream pearl, or tortoise pickguard...

Think @TimAl has a template

I think I prefer it as it currently is, although a variation of that cream could work well too!

The tort, for me, seems to work better with the indigo blue rather then brown burst, but I can't really talk given the complete absence of a PG on either of my Yammys!

So friday was NBD and my BB435 arrived finally. Man what a fine bass this is. The previous owner installed a balance poti instead of Vol/Vol/Tone, wich i like. It sees to be a kind of "stacked" balance Poti. I can't hear any loss og highs in the middle position. He installed a bit more solid string retainer too. What blows me out of the water are the new pickups. I love them. Round, fat a lots of ooomph. Ther's a fresh set of dr low rider on it, what makes it perfect. Love this Bass.

Don't know if anyone knows the answer to this, but other than the finishes, was there any actual difference between the BBN5 and BB405?

I think the BB405 has a slightly other Body Shaping...

Ah okay thanks! Other than that though, there doesn't seem to be much difference?

Just seen this posted on Miki Santamaria's Insta stories... Always wanted a BB with a MM style bridge pup. It's a shame there's no sign of a production model.

Not my gusto. There are enough Fenders around, why should I want the bass to look like one? But one may think different!

Fairy muff - it’s a model that’s been going around 30 years, and I reckon it’s different enough - IMHO one of the top line of Yammy basses
