I've decided to move on this fantastic piece of kit as I seldom use it. Not due to any problem with it, rather I am not using rack/modular preamp/amp gear at present...

This is the rare and very desirable Peavey DPC1400X class D 1u rack power amp. Built like a tank and ultra reliable, this beast delivers crystal clear highs and a thumping low-end response.
It puts out up to 1400W bridged into 4 ohms/1000W into 8 ohms, or in stereo mode each of the two channels can independently power 700W into 2 ohms, 525W into 4 ohms, or 325W into 8 ohms.

As you can see, it has huge headroom on tap and can power single or multiple cab set ups with ease. Put a preamp of choice in front of it..... or 2 separate preamps into it (one into each channel) and split for e.g. distorted high end in one cab and clean lows in the other cab....
The choices are endless and yours to make...

Features:
DDT speaker protection
Front panel level controls
1,400W RMS bridged at 4 ohms
700W RMS per channel at 2 ohms
500W RMS per channel at 4 ohms
375W RMS per channel at 8 ohms
LED status and level indicators
Combo XLR-1/4" input with 1/4" thru
Binding post and 1/4" outputs

Condition is excellent with just a few light scratches from racking etc....

Owners of the amps tend to hold onto them, especially in the PA trade. Indeed the only one that seems to have come come up for sale here in recent times went for £525 on ebay.(http://www.ebay.co.u...0MAAOSw44BYd90n )

Original list price on this was $1400 (approx a grand of the queens money back then).
I'm offering mine at the bargain price of just £330 including the rack it's pictured in!

Bank transfer or cash on collection from the Guildford, Surrey area..... or I may be willing to deliver within 50 or so miles radius for petrol money.
NO trades please.

Please see my extensive positive feedback for assurance of a clean and honest transaction.
Cheers!

This is great. I used to own one. Fantastic piece of kit. Powerful!!! Have a free bump.

Agreed, I had one of these that I ran bridged into an Epifani T212. It sounded incredible and the headroom available was scary (but in a good way).

Also makes a fantastic PA amp.

Great amp - lusted after one for many years when I ran a rack set up. Had to make do with the DPC750 in the end as I just couldn't find one. Worth noting that the amp chassis is very deep for anyone thinking of mounting it in another SKB rotocase.

Indeed, hence me including a suitable rack case in the deal ;)

I think I'd like this but I have a question about bridged mode. Does one have to use the binding posts for that? If so how does one go about that as opposed to a normal speakon lead? I'd only want to power one cab with it in bridged mode and would prefer to use a jack or speakon from the poweramp... or am I reading it wrong?

Cheers
