andydye Posted January 17, 2017 Share Posted January 17, 2017 As my first Shuker P turned out rather spectacularly (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/276145-shuker-p-bass-78-clone/page__fromsearch__1) I managed to convince my lovely wife that a second one would be a good idea Teensy bit different this time, same finish, same hardware and electrics, body made from the same piece of swamp Ash but this time with a flamed white Ash droptop and a stained Sycamore pinstripe as well as a Rosewood fingerboard, I love a Rosewood board... this will be the veneer for the top [url=https://flic.kr/p/RfnxrA][/url] gonna use this bit [url=https://flic.kr/p/RiRDfK][/url] swamp ash for the body, from the same piece as my Nr1 [url=https://flic.kr/p/RfnxiE][/url] very lovely looking rosewood for the fingerboard [url=https://flic.kr/p/RiRDhi][/url] body shapes all cut and ready for carving/bending/glueing [url=https://flic.kr/p/Q59zaM][/url] neck underway [url=https://flic.kr/p/RfnxtE][/url] sneaky peek pre-carve commencement [url=https://flic.kr/p/Q59Ar4][/url] body carve started, chamfer done, top bent into shape and all glued up [url=https://flic.kr/p/RiRDhP][/url] body carve just about done, looking sweeeeeet! [url=https://flic.kr/p/QJwdoG][/url] [url=https://flic.kr/p/QJwcUf][/url] clear coats applied, dayum it's beautiful! [/quote] They both feel amazing to play, am really looking forward to plugging them both in at our next practise so I can give it a proper trial, thus far it feels a teensy bit heavier and the strings (D'Addaire Chromes) are brand new so need to settle in as they're very bright compared to the well bedded in LaBella flats on Nr1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
