Moving whilst grooving.

In my trio the guitarist is usually singing, so I see it as kind of my job to provide a smidgen of movement on stage. Nothing too crazy - wander about a bit, maybe tap my foot, or even jig about a bit if the occasion suits. A good bass stance is always handy, as is the occasional dip of the headstock on the accents. Steady now.

:D

I went to see The Cure again last night.
Simon Gallup has the poses...he also skips about the stage in fits and starts....i have no idea how he manages to not miss a beat (other than the fact his basslines are simple)...the way he looks like he's trying to push his bass into the floor all the time impresses me.

Yes he does look cool. Unfortunately the sound, bass in particular, was rubbish.
But he was a good example of giving something to look at when the rest of the band is mostly static; which helps with making it a great show (in this case despite the sound).

Of course, we've yet to solve the trickiest question on this subject...

Exactly what does one do with oneself during verses of Alright Now?

I take a swig of my pint and rock back and forth like Andy Fraser in the IOW video. :D
