Hmm, 4x10 combos by their nature aren't really gonna be lightweight...

:) There's obviously a niche in the market... what about filling the cab with helium?
Come on, I have all these great ideas - it's up to the engineers to make them work!

Wouldn't that give it a high pitched squeaky tone? That's what happened to me when I got filled with hellium...  :gas:

Hmm, perhaps I mean nitrous oxide. Then even if the combo is heavy you'll be laughing uproariously, so it won't matter.

  • 2 weeks later...

I got myself a MarkBass CMD 121P for small gigs (which is all I do). But my Ashdown Touring 220 2x12 rig is still sitting there. I just can't bring myself to sell it. It's just gloriously warm and vintagey and looks great. Can't for the life of me figure out the passive EQ - can't even find a "flat" tone but crank up that input gain, let the tubes heat up and enjoy. I think my VU meter is bust though, it doesn't move :(
