None in my local shop but they look cool.

Anyone had experience with them.

I played a squier VM tele bass today and the neck was great but I wasn't sure if the sound was a bit one trick pony. (vhttp://www.fender.com/en-GB/basses/precision-bass/vintage-modified-precision-bass-tb-maple-fingerboard-3-color-sunburst/)

Hence the question in the title.

Thanks

I have one used it as a backup for my Fender 50s MIJ the quality is superb and the necks are spot on, mines for sale on here now :) as the project I was using it for has finished. All the CV stuff is great value for money, I wish they'd been around when I started playing.

Well I bought one to use as a back up bass and it now appears to be replacing my main Fender. Yeah, bassy sounding but I wanted that old school tone. Killer neck, well balanced, a good player. I was planning to upgrade the pickup but this was before I heard it - and it doesn't need any mods. As you can see I added the ashtrays, flipped the thumbrest and pickguard but all purely cosmetic changes. Just a really cool bass.

Very nice, including the case.

I tried one of these. I know it's a bass, but it was just too bassy for me. I found it a bit to be the bass equivalent of eating 80% dark chocolate. Just too much of a good thing.

Mmmm that sounds tasty!

Will it be a suitable bass for dub reggae with heavy flats?

Hmmm, tasty! I'd love a white pickguard like that for mine. Where did you get it?

It's a great bass. With roundwounds it can be very bright and has a surprisingly good slap tone! I have flats on it at the moment and I really like this bass. I'm considering putting a stingray preamp in there 'though, I am used to them and I miss the controls.
